I've always come to this place to get keys copied and keychains. I tried using Home Depot's automated machines a couple of times, but they didn't always work. Since this shop is just down the street from my work, its been my go-to for a while now. Over the past month, I've visited twice--once to get additional keys made and another time to look for a magnetic "hide-a-key." Today, I truly appreciated their service. While installing a lock, I messed it up--something just wasn't right. I usually figure things out with YouTube, but this time, I accidentally caused the doorknob to fall apart. After spending an hour trying to reassemble it myself, I gave up and brought it to the shop. In less than two minutes, they had it reassembled for me--and didn't charge me. They were justified in doing so, but didn't. I've never had any issues with their service, and even today was just another positive experience. A friend of mine told me about Moran lock and key. So I went in and had them make some keys and rekey 2 door locks. I figured I would have to drop them off and come back later to pick them up. I told them what I needed. One guy was making the keys that I requested to be made. Another guy worked on the rekeying the door locks. I was amazed that it was done so fast. I use to go to the local hardware stores to get keys made and time after time I would have to take them back because they don't work or the keys were cut wrong. Moran lock and key. I highly recommend this business for any key replacement needs. I was looking to buy a space key for my 90' Corolla I recently purchased. I got the only key that came with the car stuck in the door lock a few days ago. It was a bit of a scare so I went to the first place in town I could find a few days later. If I could give 100 stars I would!! They were absolutely great!! My key fob stopped working a few weeks ago, I changed the battery but it still didn't work, my car is a 2012 so I was able to simply unlock it manually, no big deal. Well today when I unlocked it and opened the door the alarm started going off, I hadn't used the alarm since the fob died, after an embarrassing few minutes of my car screaming at me it finally stopped, but then my car wouldn't start. I assumed there was some sort of kill switch activated by the alarm, but wasn't really sure how to deal with it, fortunately the system must have reset itself and my engine finally started. I whipped out my phone and started looking for automotive locksmiths, Moran's had good reviews and when I called the guy that answered was super helpful, he told me they had a replacement fob, but they'd check mine out first before selling me a new one. When I arrived I was immediately helped, turned out my fob was fine, they suggested maybe it was a fuse, I asked if there were any mechanics in the area that they knew and trusted, neither of them had any recommendations. I thanked them and went to sit in my car and try to find a mechanic on Yelp, as I was sitting in my car scrolling, they came out and told me they could try and reset the system for me, less then 5 minutes later I was on my way. They totally went above and beyond, they were under no obligation to help me out, but they made the effort to help me....that's customer service!! Bravo!! read more
