Morack Public Golf Course is a great place for a hit on the weekend (or weekday, if you're lucky enough to be able to do it), and it's really good to be able to get outside and pretend that I know what I'm doing every time I pick up a golf club.
It's an 18 hole course, well kept (especially considering the drought-like conditions of the previous few years) and easy to get to, being just near the Bunnings on Burwood Hwy. There is a driving range near the clubhouse and shop (which is handy, as the old one was on the site that is now the aforementioned giant hardware monstrosity) and there is plenty of parking.
Green fees are between $12 and $24, depending on when you play, how many holes you're playing and whether or not you're a junior.
All in all, I find it a great way to give my friends an opportunity to mock my terrible golfing performance, and let's face it, if you need to get out of the house, Morack Public Golf Course is a great excuse for some exercise and a catch up with your mates. read more
