Kingston Links is a public access course with a links style. It sits in a river valley near the Monash freeway so is easily accessible. Most fairways are wide and most greens elevated slightly. I generally consider it overpriced but I guess they can charge the going rate give then lack of good public courses in the area. I tend to prefer nearby Waterford Valley as the holes have more challenge. There is no shade on the course so it can be a long hot day especially as the valley seems to hold the heat and add to the humidity. The course can get waterlogged fairly easily and may be inaccessible after very heavy rain as you have to drive through a causeway. There are at least three smallish bunkers on most holes and water is in play on about six. The greens are ok - usually fairly slow. It gets very busy on the weekends. read more

I came here once with my family, and really enjoyed it. I don't pretend to be a golf expert, but I thought the course was quite good, and easy enough to walk around. There is also BBQ areas, a kiosk, and plenty of seating so you can really make a family day of it. It does tend to get pretty busy on the weekends, especially over the summer months.
