I live quite close to this cute little café restaurant and had been meaning to come for a while. Finally today, I found myself in front of their delicious looking lunch menu at 1pm, so I had no excuse not to sit down in their cute outside benches.
After trying to order the poached cod, of which they had just ran out, we settled for the celery schnitzel, and thank the stars for our luck, because it was one of the most delicious things I have eaten in a while.
We asked the charming waiter for a recommendation for drinks, and he offered a maracuja and mint "shake" which was so fresh and delicious that my mother drank it all in a few sips even before they brought the bread basket. She then ordered a glass of water for which we were pleasantly not charged.
We ordered one schnitzel for the both of us, and they brought it already separated into two dishes. At 8,50 euro it was really good value for money and left us both full and satisfied.
The only confusion (which we did not clear up with the waiter), was whether this Moraba had any relationship with the other Moraba restaurant open in Hamburg. I mistakenly checked in and added my photos there before realizing it was not the same place!
In any case, absolutely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for fresh, light Mediterranean options. read more
