I'm a newbie archer. Archery was always on my bucket list, so one day I went with a friend who shoots to MOR. I'm glad that I did! First, as a woman, I greatly appreciated all the expert help that I've received from Holly, one of the store's excellent employees. Holly set me up with a great compound bow package that I'm extremely happy with. I love it. And with the purchase I also received free range time so I can practice my new hobby. It did take almost four months to get my bow after placing the order, but that's not on the shop. Everything is basically on backorder from the manufacturers. So if you want something to hunt with in the fall, you might want to shop now :) The range is great. I haven't tried the 3D targets, but that seems like fun. They know their stuff there, and are happy to help with any questions you may have, or like with me - basically teaching me how to fire the bow. They're awesome folks :)

What a great place to visit and do business with. Everyone there is super knowledgeable and friendly. I bought a Mathews atlas for a great price and they did everything that I needed for a smooth transition to a new bow.

Quick help and friendly staff. They have a shooting range inside that they let me use for free to make sure my peep sight was aligned.

The process was simple since we had lined up our group and paid ahead of time. We had Coach Payton (I hope I spelled it correctly). He was extremely informative and explained what we were going to do for our two hours there. We all had a blast and he was extremely patient with us all. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to do a work event, stress relief, or just a fun activity indoors.

We found Rising Phoenix Archery on Google and gave them a call beforehand just in case they were slammed. Their indoor Open Range was very clean, spacious and had about 19 lanes! On the other side, there seemed to be a family with kids having a private practice session - very family friendly here. Since it was our first time doing archery, we were given a little introduction to how to handle the bow and the range's rules. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We had a lot of fun and got to take some fun pictures too! Group Friendly - YES. Plenty of space for a group. Family Friendly - YES. We saw plenty of parents with their children learning archery there. Date Friendly - YES. Very cute date idea. Price - VERY affordable. Rentals are free and you are only paying for time there if you are doing open range. They even have punch cards for frequent goers. Difficulty - Easy. As a beginner, I had no issues for my first archery session. Food - Drinks and Snacks available for purchase here. Seats available for anyone tagging along but not joining in on the archery fun. Social Distancing - Our group was able to spaced out enough from other groups, so it wasn't an issue.

Our group arrived around 10 am on a Saturday, just after an actual class was finishing up, and we were able to start immediately after a bit of hassle with paying (be forewarned: they only take cash). Given that none of us had ever shot a bow before, we were apprehensive at first, but the instructor was very understanding, and even stated immediately that his first priority was safety, and secondarily to improve our technique. He seemed rather strict, but I know it was so no one ended up with an arrow to the knee. In particular, he was extremely clear about when we were to shoot and even how to safely remove the arrows from the targets. Internally, I laughed because I've been to gun ranges with less detailed focus on safety. Once the group had shot a few rounds, the real fun began: he gave us some historical background on how commanders would command archers to loose their arrows, and even had us reenact the scene by having the bachelor issue the same commands to our group! If that's not a good start to a bachelor party, what is?
