Their website had display issues on my computer which made it difficult to cancel. When I brought this to the company's attention they told me that it was my problem, not theirs. Very nice place as you walk in. Filled out the waiver then proceeded to the counter to get some range time. When I told the guy which gun I wanted to rent, the 4/$6 targets, and two boxes of ammo, he rang me up and it was over $100, I looked at him sideways because the guy didn't ask if this was our first time or anything. Just here is the total. Whatever. Got into the range itself and there were no binder clips so had to ask the range safety and he was nice enough to get us some. Overall it was a decent range. My Dad and I visited the range to shoot. After my Dad presented his ID, who is Canadian, they said he can't shoot here because of the federal law that prohibits certain to shoot in the USA ? I asked three other shooting ranges in Michigan and asked about such federal law and they said, we've never heard of such a thing and Canadians are welcome here. read more

The rules at this store are ridiculous. I'm 65 and wanted to rent a firearm that I was interested in purchasing. I was told that I could not rent a firearm if this was the first time using their range. I would need to come in with another person -- any person. Can't rent alone the first time. What? Then I had a firearm in a case that I wanted to sell. I put the case on the counter and opened it to show it to one of the clerks behind the counter. Another clerk comes over and scolds me for opening the case -- "you can't open a firearm case here!" I also don't believe you are allowed to conceal carry in the store either!!! What the hell. I'm not sure why all the bad comments are here. This is a great indoor range, with excellent staff and service. The range itself has many lanes and I love the timer system to show exactly how much time you have left. The range officers are friendly and professional. I always have felt safe on the range and open to asking questions if I've had troubles. I was walking around and browsing the lever actions. I wasn't overly bombarded with questions from the employees and was checked in on a couple times. The selection is great and I love that now there are various handguns and rifles you can hold and feel that are on the floor. The value is good, everything is priced as expected. I've taken longtime shooters and first time shooters here and have always had a very pleasant experience. Keep up the great job! read more

The Clinton Twp store is clean and the staff I spoke with were helpful. I kicker is the long "contract" that corporate uses to protect themselves from lawsuits. Don't get me wrong, I signed the document believing Range USA is an up and up business. The point I want to make is the fact that Range USA "baked" a clause into the document, so they can use the information you gave them to "sell" to advertisers of likeminded companies. Well, I caution anyone that signs this document.... Let me say until I signed their required document, I NEVER received so much spam e-mails from a large variety of vendors, nothing likeminded to the sport or industry. It's so bad I regret putting my e-mail on that document. Little back story, my friend and I are police officers and we love visiting different shooting ranges to improve our hobbies but really just to have fun. This was my friend and I's first time visiting this range, walking into this establishment we weren't greeted; no big deal they were probably just busy. We started to just look around and I decided that I wanted to purchase a 2500$ firearm, I then realized it's been 10 minutes and we still haven't been greeted and no one asked us if we needed any help. I'm not sure if the tattoos on my neck, earrings, wearing Cartier glasses or my friend and I's skin color caused discomfort. Moments later two white males entered the establishment and stood near us looking at items, they were greeted instantly and welcomed by the staff. We decided to just leave the establishment but I needed a bit of clarity. I let the staff know how uncomfortable my friend and I felt... their response was that they didn't see us and we should have just asked for help if we needed something. He gave me some really great feed back and had me much more focused and hitting the small target consistently in a very short time. Helped tremendously with my hand placement and confidence. I am coming up to my two-year anniversary of being a Range Member at the Clinton Twp. Range USA. It is the only indoor range I will shoot at. What can I say? Probably way more than they would allow me to type. So let's put it into bullet points. - The range membership is a MUST. I started at the middle level and move myself up to the top level. Worth every penny! Use the range twice a month and you've already recouped your monthly dues. I'm on a "kind of fixed budget" and the one thing I never leave out each month are my dues. Range has honestly become my second home. -Next, the staff. First, I will just give a shout out to every employee there. In almost two years I've never not seen an employee not go out of their way for a customer. I will mention management. Brett, Brandon, Dustin always provide excellent service and their example is reflected in all their employees! I know, from example, they will bend over backwards to make you a satisfied customer. And I just have to mention by name Dylan, Ben, Jon, Dave, Nick, Ben, Cindy and Gary. Please forgive me, those I may have forgot. -Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn't mention selection and price of new firearms and condition worth buying of used stock. I sit on the web and find armories allover, basically price shopping. I will say this, you find something online that is cheaper than Range, they do stay close to MSRP but never over, check out the price of the firearm you would buy online at Range and then factor in tax, shipping and FFL fees from that online purchase. I guarantee, from experience they will come in lower then that "great deal" you think you might be getting. I have also, especially lately, been extremely impressed with the latest firearms they keep in stock. I just put my competition firearm on layaway. It is going to be one of the top contenders of 2024. Online, you can't find it and if you do the online armories are price gauging it at 1399. Range not only had it in stock but I am paying slightly under MSRP which is a good 400 dollar savings. Made my day. That goes for all their stock. Be it competition, EDC, plinkers, the whole gambit. And if they don't have it in stock you can be sure they will get it for you! Once again that customer service, can't be beat. So I realize this review covers a lot in one sitting, but I've been saying for way to long I was going to put in a review. I'm basically playing catchup. LOL But seriously, if any corporate get a chance to read this take it to heart. You have a staff that is going to keep that location going for many years to come!!! read more

I was a total newbie when it came to buying firearms back in October.The staff there is knowledgeable about the products and if you select a popular model, it may be available to rent in their indoor shooting range. I recently purchased a used 12 gauge and there were minor issues with it. The staff and general manager took care of it and now it's ready to use for the next time. When i went in i saw how clean and organized i had to see how the range was. i also saw how spread out the merchandise was, so multiple people can walk and look without bumping people which is nice. Price on ammo isn't bad especially when your a member. i have the defender membership which for me works great. the employees are very nice and are willing to help. Now this thing is the only thing i do not like but i understand why they have this rule. i do wish i could rapid fire but i understand not everyone can be safe while doing it. other than that it is a great range and if your a vet and shoot at-least twice a month it's worth it. read more

The first thing that bothered me was that they REQUIRE you to pay $5/year when you sign their "waiver". I have used multiple ranges in Metro Detroit and was never required to sign a waiver to shoot my own guns. The punch line there was that it allowed you to shoot at any of their ranges in the country for a year. Sorry but my bucket list doesn't include visiting every RangeUsa facility in the US. It was also quite obvious that they are not friendly to reloaders or anyone that wants to retain their brass. All of the ranges I have shot at typically have some sort of bucket on the wall of the stall to dump stray or revolver brass into, until you leave. Not this place. And no brooms or dust pans to scoop up your brass, either. Not impressed with the "Range Officer" that seemed to be more interested in using the rake to grab everyone's brass, too. Also, what's the deal with a "fee" to rent eyes and ears? My buddy used their rental ears and said they were not adjustable and painfully tight to the point that he quit shooting before time was up because it hurt too much to wear them. If you need to recover those costs then build them into the lane fee and be competitive with the rest of the local ranges! Not going back. read more

Terrible and very unprofessional. My son applied and never heard back at all either way. We drove bay TODAY 2 march 2023 and saw hiring sign. My son called to inquire a bout his application status and they told him they would call back with in 15 minutes. Sure enough they called back and said they weren't hiring . They are under paying people there that have ZERO KNOWLEDGE about what they are doing ----- high school kids, for $12 hr. This is a serious business where lives could be at stake and they think it's a video game!! They don't have ex military or law enforcement people working there that ACTUALLY have experience because they don't pay. Back to not hiring ..... I guess they are looking for discrimination lawsuits and other issues related to not hiring well qualified applicants. I visited there today to shoot on the range for the first time. Bret took the time to answer my questions and was very courteous. For me, the range was clean, comfortable, and operating well. I appreciated the fact that they had a stool and a rifle rest that I could use. Very helpful when you are physically disabled. The range officer, Fate, was outstanding and very helpful. Great guy with a great customer service focused attitude. Took time to thank me for my service. The only range improvement I might suggest is to add additional lighting in the rear of the range. The good, the bad and the ugly. The range is bright, always stocked well with ammo and the store has a modern feel to it. The staff is helpful and friendly giving good advise while you are shooting. There are 2 sections with a combined total 20 lanes each 25 yards deep. The busy days are Saturday mornings and Sundays, or weekdays after 6 pm. I personally do not understand why people bring their AR15s to a small, confined space when those rifles are so loud. It is distracting to pistol shooters or people starting new. A recommendation would be to have rifle and pistol shooters separated in the 2 sections, or have certain rifle shooting days. The range has a lot of potential since the staff is knowledgeable and is always very helpful. I heard many comments from people that the loud rifle shooters are very distracting and they will eventually drive business away. I received a gift card for Christmas , so lets go see what they have to offer . I went on a Saturday and yes it was busy . I took the opportunity to trade in a handgun also , the staff was friendly and focus on my needs . While the manager was filling out my paperwork , there was customer getting loud with another staff member .
