Worst campground I ever stayed at. They kicked me my husband and baby out at 8 o'clock at night because we had a visitor and forgot to check him in. They saying that we keep on sneaking him in through the night but yet we have not brought anyone in. It's just me and my husband and son, not to mention my son is only one years old we live in our motorhome full-time and have no other campgrounds or anywhere to go. I would never put your money into this business it is treacherous read more

went last weekend and was not thrilled. This is by no means a resort, for the nightly rate I was really looking for more. It's full of seasonals, some of which look like they have been there since the beginning of time. Odd rules like adult only swim from 3-4. A woman came out telling us all kids out of the pool area for adult swim. I mean it's over 90 out what are kids to do? Talking about the pool there was no pool furniture at all, not a chair, lounge, or table. The area around the pool was 24" cement pavers set 2" apart, tough to walk on. the money there are better resorts read more

This place is a joke, very rude owners. We've been going there for 10 years ,there is never any maintenance done. The ladies that own it are very disrespectful and rude. I've spent lots of money there to just be disrespected by a rude bitch. read more
Stayed here on Columbus Day weekend when they celebrated Halloween. Even with a number of things being closed they still had tons of activities for kids. Trick or treating and the dance party were highlights. Haunted Woods looked cool but was too scary for kids and we didn't make it more than 100 yards in. Scavenger Hunt was fun but a bit too difficult for kids. Bingo seemed poorly run and very slow. For the campground itself the site sizes were pretty inconsistent. Ours was pretty small. Too small for two tents and two cars which they ensured us wouldn't be an issue. We made it work but it could have been better. Bathrooms weren't pristine but better than some places we've been. Our site didn't have a fire pit on it so we just set up a fire on the grass. They do sell firewood but it's about twice the price of other places and they don't bring it to your site. They have one dumpster for the whole campground which by Sunday night was entirely overflowing. Surprising they don't have issues with animals. This was by far the loudest campground we've been to and at 11 pm we could still hear people all over the place, many of them swearing. Thats not to mention the woman who got into a top of her lungs screaming match with someone else for an hour in the middle of the night that no one addressed. Loved the nearby doggy daycare to help tire the dog out while we were doing activities. read more

Moose Meadows has done an improvement since my last visit 3 years ago. Although the electric and water hookups are still struggling and could definitely use an upgrade, they have added a large dog park that is away from the sights and allowed our pups some much needed off leash run around time. That was a wonderful addition and makes it great for my larger dog! Thank you Moose Meadows!!! read more

Have always had a great time at the campground until tonight. Tried to rent a campsite and the owner informed me I was not welcome. Said we "left a campfire going" last time we were here. I apologized as I felt it was almost out (which it was and put my 3 year old twin toddlers to bed) The fire was a small campfire, contained in my site fire pit, built with the WET wood I purchased at the store for $13 which took forever to get going. Said I was still not welcome. Is this a grounds for not welcoming someone back? Could she have just put it out herself if she felt so strongly? Broke my toddlers heart as I had to leave and they were looking forward to camping. I pulled down the road and stopped to buckle the kids back in their carseats. The owner pulled up behind me confrontational like i was trying to stay. Made me feel very uncomfortable. Only to add to the stress of my kids being very upset. I will never stay here again and i advise everyone else not too. The owner was disrespectful and less than professional . read more

Came on here because I'm scheduling my camping trips, and remembered I stayed last year possibly the year before. I was looking to see the reviews and realized I forgot to leave my review for the experience I had. I came and was quite disgusted with the grounds ( maybe because of covid, not sure) but the mini golf was dirty and disgusting, the shuffle board was a joke. not flat by any means broken cement and over grown with grass. The owner was EXTREMELY RUDE, to the point , I packed up my camper and headed out to a different campground which welcomed us with open arms due to the fact, I was so mortified from the experience here. The owner was rude to my grandkids and myself. My husband was out of town working and I had never driven a class A but I'll tell you I did that day. I couldn't get out fast enough. The straw that broke the camels back was when I said Good Morning to her and she started yelling at me because I didn't bring back a basketball and shuffle board sticks from the day before. I apologized and said I didn't know I had a time limit. She replied with "People were waiting for these" again I apologized she walked away with "YUP COME GET YOUR $1.00 BACK" I was in total shock with her tone. Lastly I will comment that it took me almost 3 hours to pack up and get up the nerve to drive my Class A...NOT ONE PERSON came to play basketball nor one of the shuffle boards (mind you there are 2 ) NEVER will I recommend this place I will always share my crappy experience with all the campers I know. Hope this helps someone else! By the the way I had to choose 1 star in which they don't ever deserve that. read more

This place does not even deserve one star. Far from a Resort!! Don't waste your money. Place is a dump. Owners are rude! Power is from 1950 so do not expect to run things like AC, Fridge or heater. You get what you pay for. Two thumbs down read more

I didn't know that "resort" meant nightclub. Came here to relax, and that was absolutely impossible. Rap music blasted at ear-shattering decibels. Our RV rocked from the vibrations. I wouldn't have minded if it was simply loud - but when I say "blasted" - it was 20 on a scale of 1-10. When I called to complain, was rudely brushed off. If you're looking for a party/nightclub atmosphere, this is the place for you; if you want a relaxing camping experience STAY AWAY from this nightmare. Worst camping experience in the 6 years we've been traveling. read more
I got the opportunity to spend an afternoon at Moose Meadow visiting friends who were there for the 4th of July holiday weekend. I'll be honest---this was my first visit to a campground and I wasn't quite sure what to expect at first. Upon arriving, I was pleasantly surprised by what we found. The site has different parts where visitors can stay---some are in simple tents when they're visiting for a few nights, while there are also sites with RVs and campers, where some folks are staying for a night or a week or the entire season. There are amenities available including restrooms, a pool, playground, basketball court, tennis court, shuffleboard, mini golf, and a little shop on site. Most of the campground sites came with a small grill or folks had brought their own. Seemed to be a really fun place for kids as most seemed to have free reign to explore the grounds on their own. For weekends, especially holiday weekends, it appears they have a series of events planned you can participate in (bingo, fireworks, dance, face painting, etc). This site is also super friendly and our pooch met many new friends during our visit. If camping in CT is on your list, I'd give this family run site a shot! read more
