Visited this Moose Lodge. Just like in others review, bartenders were not great. I believe they forget that they work for the members not just some beach bums. They can definitely be more welcoming and pleasant. A lot of folks were spending their hard earned money here and you get some shitty service. The night I was there, the bartender and a customer got into an heated argument. It made the visit extremely awkward and uncomfortable. Maybe consider hiring some new, fresh and welcoming bartenders would get better reviews for #2188. The food menu is small but it's beach food. The kitchen staff were fast and efficient in getting all the orders out. The serving staff were wonderful. Beautiful spot to watch the sunset. If it wasn't for the service staff, I would have left a 1 star experience. read more

Lovely people, helpful membership office. When the bar is busy, and it does get busy, the service isn't always great but hey it's a bar on the beach, relax. The food is so so, no real healthy options, lots of fried food. Sitting on the beach out back is a delight. Parking is super limited and you have to be a member to get a parking sticker. Lot opens at 11 and fills up in minutes. Free parking on Cortez and Coquina beaches, take the free trolley back to the lodge. read more

Friends took us for Friday night dinner and it was our first visit. Back open for dinners after last year's devastation from the hurricanes. The dining room has beautiful views of the gulf. The wait and server staff are all friendly and accommodating. Now, the food: I had the blackened snapper that was delicious and then ate the leftover baby back ribs for dinner the next night. Probably the best ribs I've ever had! They also have a great upper patio! read more

Cold and unfriendly atmosphere due to the majority of bartenders. They seem to think they are doing you a huge favor by taking your drink order. I was told they had to be members in order to work there. They could sure use lessons on hospitality, friendliness and humility. Every person who walks in there should be treated as though it is their first time there. Bartenders seem to forget that you do not get a 2nd chance to make a good impression. 1-star Views and location 5-stars. spectacular! Food 1-star. Parking 1-star. Love the location. We walked in about 30 minutes before closing just to check out the local Moose. Place looks great. Bartender was very helpful and gave us a quick tour of the place. Told us about their food service and upstairs bar. Explained how the hurricane had wiped out the old moose and had 3 foot of sand inside. Will definitely stop back in while on vacation!! read more

What a great place...not your "typical" Moose lodge. Updated decor, great water views throughout...upstairs-outdoor sunset- beach viewing deck (uncovered with tables and chairs) for your sipping pleasure. Lots of friendly folks...inexpensive drinks and a variety of food options for lunch or dinner. The staff are helpful and smiling in this place. There are lots of volunteers. There is also a beautiful beach on its Gulf side with "limited" Moose only parking... Dont forget your window sticker, membership card...and no coolers on the beach rules please! Respect the lodge and support them when you need drinks and snacks while you are enjoying a gorgeous day on an AMI beach. Fun little gem with a great view and vibe. The food so far has been really good. As I settle in, I will find out about events, outings, etc, and report back to you. They are philanthropic.too...just "ask" about the elderly in need or Orphanage in the mid-west that they support. read more

I specifically search out a moose lodge wherever I go. You do have to be a member to get in, but the membership cost is extremely worth it. The food and drinks are extremely cheap, and the people are unbeatable. Members of the moose are always easy to talk with, extremely friendly, and welcoming of all. We are members at a lodge in Ohio. Ours is not nearly this nice lol. It's a very clean spot, located right on the beach. Plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside as well. The food is cheap and the drinks aren't bad either. They have a larger draught list than ours as well, with quite a few craft beers. All served in plastic disposable cups. The food is mostly bar food, like appetizers and wings. We had some fried pot stickers. They were pretty good. It's cash only, just like our lodge. But they do have an atm inside. $3 fee. They are also pretty strict about showing your card when you order. That wasn't a problem for us, since we both had ours. The service is friendly at the bar. We also brought my mom, who is not a member and she was treated well too. read more

This place continues to go down hill by the current manager! They put out a few specials through out the year and then they order less food and close the kitchen early! All they really want to do anymore is just sell drinks! They cannot keep a cook or kitchen staff it's just a disaster on the food end of this place! I am sure there losing memberships big time! My husband and I have been members here for 7 years. I love setting up on the beach there. Its so nice to have a full bar and a clean bathroom just feet away from our beach chairs. Its unfortunate that the vibe is cold and unfriendly. The bartenders rarely have a personality. The patrons are usually snowbirds that dont care to interact. We will never give up our membership because of the location only. read more

Great place for drinks with a view! Beach is beautiful. The upstairs patio is the perfect place to have a cold one and enjoy the sunset. Had the prime rib dinner Friday night and it exceeded expectations- it was delicious!! Others at the table enjoyed the ribs. Portion size was 'super sized' - will make this a staple place on our annual stays. All staff was more then welcoming - Dean behind the bar and his compadres were fun to talk to and gave us great info on the area. If you're disappointed - you just don't enjoy life - good people, cold drinks and good food. read more

What a great spot! Members only lodge on Bradenton Beach. Came here with my folks, and had a blast. Solid food and beverage options, fantastic prices, in an unbeatable location right on the beach. Enjoy cold beers (about 10 on tap, plus bottles) and very tasty food (try the hot wings!) while looking out a Large wall of glass windows overlooking the surf. Feeling adventurous? Outside seating in the sand is available, and you can walk out onto the beach in just a few steps. Daily specials are awesome too. While there we enjoyed a full slab of ribs for $8.95! read more

Food and drinks are so great. But my whole family was treated like outsiders, when I am a member with a valid card. I Had to show my card every time we ordered a drink. then my newly 21 daughter was yelled at for saying the wrong thing to the bartender when he wanted drinks ordered and not food ordered. Older man who did not know how to bartend obviously, and is technological inept. when we tried to pay and he rejected our card then demanded a new one which we gave him. Great Lodge right on the beach! Inexpensive drinks, friendly servers. Food is ok. They run out of specials and other items on the menu early and often. If you're coming to eat, check what is available before ordering a drink. They may be out of it. Today was a classic example. Their special was Ruben sandwiches, they ran out at 6:15, but, it is a great location. They were out of several additional items on the menu. The kitchen was closed for several months to remodel, things haven't changed much as far as the menu or availability, but it is a great location. read more

Update: one month after being denied service in my "home" Moose Lodge because my valid membership card was on my phone rather than me in possession of the plastic card, I have still not received a response from my local or regional lodge. Nothing short of pathetic would describe this experience. A failure of every Order of the Moose Lodge tenant and espoused value. read more

Sunset views are amazing, and when they do open the upstairs bar window it is nice not to have to walk downstairs for drinks. A limited menu for sure and the food is acceptable but nothing to rave about. Tried the steak special one time and most of our group of 9 did not get their steaks cooked as ordered. Potatoes and broccoli were room temperature. It was a very busy night in fairness but we expected better. Our experience is that beer prices are on par with other places and mixed drinks are quite reasonable. Service is generally spotty so patience is required. I have some neighbors that absolutely love the private beach aspect, with convenient food and beverage service at the outside window. The bathrooms are kept very clean; a plus. I bought a parking sticker but was only able to find a space 1 time. A very popular amenity. The Manatee County bus service to the Moose is the way to go in our neighborhood. The Moose's unique views and beach access is still worth the yearly dues, but there is certainly room for improvement. It remains so popular that I am not sure management will feel the need to make positive changes. read more

Bartenders are rude. When we joined we were told to take pictures of our membership cards with our phones so we would always have them. We stopped in after a run with our phones on the beach and $20 for a cold beer. Apparently they changed the policy a couple weeks ago and now the picture of the card no longer works. Instead of informing us of the change and saying "next time be sure to bring the actual card... what can we get you?" They practically kicked us (paying members) out. When other members offered to buy us a beer as guests, they refused saying they didn't see us walk in together. So now they have refused to serve members and refused to allow a member to have a guest. Go somewhere they appreciate you and your money. My wife and I like to come here when my motorcycle friends come down to Florida for Bike Week. We LOVE the location.. Literally ON THE BEACH. The food is always great, the bartenders can be a little cranky at times. My main gripe is THE PARKING SUCKS BIG TIME!!! There's room for 20 cars...WOW. On 2 occasions I was not able to find a spot to park, and turned around and left. My most recent attempt was to purchase tickets for a Queen of Hearts drawing. I pulled in, on my motorcycle and was stopped and told the parking lot is full. I pointed out that I can squeeze my 2 wheeler in any where out of the way for 10 minutes while I purchase drawing tickets. "No, the lot is full, you can't park here, not even for 10 minutes." REALLY? Totally UNREASONABLE. Be aware people, if you come to visit during season when there is a lot of traffic, you may not be able to park...any where. NO EXCEPTIONS. read more
