We had the best time biking around the island! It was a super easy process to rent a bike and we decided to do a one hour rental. Since we were going to the beach later, this was the perfect amount of time to enjoy the island on bike. I think if you're staying for a few days on the island it would be worth it to rent a bike out for the week since everything is close by. I love that they had so many bright colors to choose from and that each bike comes with a basket to put your belongings in. The staff was very friendly and thoroughly explained to us all the rules for renting a bike. From the friendly and attentive staff the second we walked in the door (truly friendly....not at all sales person pushy), to the wonderful service we received with dropping the bicycles off at our rental and even when we had an issue (our fault, not Beach Bums) with one of the bikes, I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff. These people, both office personnel and mechanics who take care of the golf carts, were some of the kindest people I've done business with on AMI. I had two golf carts that experienced minor problems but the staff were very apologetic and furnished me with suitable replacements immediately. All of the people involved could not have been nicer. This place would get more stars if I could give it to them. We rented a bike for the week we were there and a kayak for a few days. The bike rentals were very reasonably priced, and the bike was easy to use. The kayak rental was also super reasonably priced. We rented the kayak for three days and got a deal on the third day. Because our rental house was also super close to the store, they said if there was time that day they would drop it off early. We were swimming in the pool when the kayak came. The guy dropping it off saw us and said that he had a bigger kayak back at the shop that would probably fit us a bit more comfortably (my husband is just over 6'). He drove off and a few minutes later dropped off a bigger kayak for us. He totally didn't have to do that. It was also really nice because we basically got an extra half day with the kayak for free. They also said they would pick up the kayak on the last day around 12:00, but they didn't really come till closer to 2:00. So we basically paid for 2ish days (got the deal for a three day rental) but had the kayak for like 4. read more

Overall: Would rent from them again based on customer service alone and equipment in great condition. Service: 5 stars- Decided to check out their chairs before renting so did a drive by. We got out of the car and started heading to front when someone from the back lot asked if they could help us. We told them we were looking for a lounge chairs. He took us over to a cabinet and showed us what they offered. When we selected the lounger than had a foot rest. He pulled one out and set it up for my wife to try. After we decided on getting two, he stated to go up front and he would load them into our car. We entered the front to counter and she did the paperwork straight away and it was done. They offered to deliver free of charge (as well as pick up) but stated we we are picking up now and they could pick up later. They also offered a free kick in case we needed it which we agreed we wanted one upon our leaving island before pickup. We went back outside the the gentleman stated he tried to load them up but our car was still locked (oops). He loaded them, gave us the lock and away we went. On Saturday, we locked chairs and they apparently sometime picked the chairs up since we haven't heard anything. Equipment: 5 stars- equipment was in great condition with no problems. read more

We ordered a 4 person golf cart and it looked great and new on their website. Once we received the cart, we got the oldest cart in the lot. It was rusted and dusty and definitely very old. We asked for a discount or a different cart and they said they were unable to work with us. I get why they have 5 stars. They r super customer service, super efficient, and super duper helpful! You can come here for bike rentals, kayaks, boats, electric bikes, and golf rentals. You can pick which one you would like, and for example, for your bike, pick which one fits best for you, and they will make sure it's thoroughly ready and good to go. You will see they have bikes in the front, and bikes in the back. It was $15 for the whole day which was cheaper than keeping it for a few hours. It worked out perfect for us, and Anna Maria Island is the perfect place to bike ride everywhere. This was a super A+ experience. We initially rented a kayak in the afternoon but the day seemed to be getting cloudy and there was thunder so he was nice enough to change our reservation for the next morning which turned out even better. He explained everything super well and was so helpful! We also rented bikes and how convenient that they deliver it to your house. We were worried, as we don't have a bike rack but everything was perfect! I stopped by their gift shop with the intention on buying me and my kids some shirts. Two ladies at the register and neither of them greeted us. We walked around looking around and then I had a question about the kids sizes. One of the ladies proceeded to look at me not say hi or anything and I asked her my question and she just said no that's all we had and got on the phone and looked away. It was so off putting that I went to a different shop for some shirts. No way I would spend my money on ladies with attitude. It was a bit tricky to put up for a first timer but after that it was so much better than an umbrella or even a small beach Cabana. They explained it to us nicely how to set it up. We ended up renting 6 beach cruisers for the entire family to cruise around on for our week stay in Florida. We had a stinking blast. Beach Bums make the rental process very easy and even drops off and picks up the bikes from wherever you're staying on the island, which was very convenient. Great Rental Place This place is located on Anna Maria Island. It's probably the only place for the immediate vicinity. It rents bikes, gold carts, kayaks as well as other things. We went there for the kayaks. Precious told me the story about how her brother had rented a sea kayak and that it looked fun so sea kayaking was on our minds. Plus in this area are a lot of sea life including dolphins and manatees. Precious likes dolphins. The place is not on the water. It's in the middle of town. But you go in there, arrange for your kayak and pay, and they tell you where to meet the dude. By the time we got to the arranged location, the dude was already there unloading our kayak. The dude had a map of the area, and he had marked places that he thought we might like. The place where you take off is on the east side of the island so the water is very calm. Of course Precious took off directly towards the area where the dude said we might see some dolphins. We saw some manatees, dolphins, a sea turtle and probably about a thousand fish big and small. We beached the kayak and had lunch. Then we just cruised around. After we finished we called the place, and they sent someone to pick up the kayak. It was a fun day. The people were nice. The price was reasonable. The only problem is that Precious got a bad sunburn. We otherwise would have come back, but Precious was hurting. read more
