Rave is located in the new strip mall across from St. Vital mall - they opened in March 2014. It's…read moreone of the city's first membership-based massage therapy clinic. You can opt in for free by agreeing to pay for a one hour massage every month at a reduced price. Apparently it rolls over if you don't use it and you can get unlimited massages at that same reduced price. The ambiance feels like somewhere between a regular massage clinic and a more spa like place. The place has a very serene feel to it and is quite large as there are a number of rooms in the back. You can book online and there's a receptionist available as well. They say their massage is 1 hour but like many places, it's more like 50 mins as the therapist is not always on time and then gives you another 5 mins or so to change. The room is simply designed with good temperature, each massage table has adjustable heat and the music is the typical new age relaxation songs. Right now they are offering an intro rate of $54.95 for a 50 min massage. To compare pricing for similar 50 min massages in the city: Rave = member $64.95 / non-member $84.95 for 50 mins relaxation Swedish massage Spas: Ten Spa = $115 Riverstone = $105 Massage Clinics: Academy Massage = $70 Waterfront Massage = $68 So their pricing is a bit less than the massage clinics if you take on the membership but I'm not one to have a massage every month and I don't think many people have such generous health plans to cover 12 massages a year. For those reason, the membership pricing doesn't work for me but it's a decent deal if you do require massages more frequently and have a generous plan. The therapist I had was ok but he really didn't ask me about how much pressure I prefer or asked me during the session if I wanted more or less pressure. Compared to other therapists, it was ok. Note: no direct billing to your insurer.

I'm a member at Rave Massage and I can't imagine ever having a bad experience there! I've been…read moregoing since March 2014 since they opened and have always had a great therapist. I decided to try a few before I found my favorite, they have over 12 so there is always options. The decor is all new and the music is relaxing, I always feel like I am having a spa experience when I go with the hot towels and heated tables that I can control, it always smells so nice inside! The bank across the road was under construction in May/June and was claiming a good chunk of the parking lot but since then I've never had an issue. As far as timing is concerned, I've only seen people have problems if they were coming in late for their appointment. The receptionists are busy women and often running around keeping the place clean, but I've never experienced a long wait and they've always addressed my concerns or asked a therapist if they didn't know. After the initial introductory massage the rates go up, but my membership status makes it only $10 more and entitles me to extend the pricing to family in my household and some luxurious aromatherapy. Everyone I've recommended to go to Rave has LOVED IT and the majority have signed up to be members too. Since I've been getting massage regularly I haven't had a single migraine and I'm so RAVING about it!

I have not been to this spa in a few years but it is by far my favourite in the city. In the past I'd go by myself and it is very peaceful and calming. I would highly recommend to others. There is a restaurant on-site just past the lobby of Inn at the Forks called SMITH that you can dine at afterwards and I would highly recommend.

We booked a "couples" massage as a family day and were really excited to try hot stone therapy. We had to call to book since it wasn't letting us online and we were told we had to book many weeks out to both have hot stone, after a lot of back and forth we settled on one receiving hot stone and one regular massage so we could book sooner. Even at that, openings were very minimal and we had to work our schedules around it. We were not warmly greeted upon arrival and provided cheap polyester robes. Our locker stopped working making us need to go back out to rescue our belongings. After the massage we asked each other how the hot stone was (since in the midst of the silence we both thought somehow the other had been assigned the hot stone masseuse) and realized NEITHER of us had received it. Upon bringing it up at the. front we were offered $4 off our $420 appointment. No replacement offered for the service we never received. The massage itself was fine, but masseuse was sick and coughing. The level of service here and the fact that we never got what we booked was a huge disappointment and frankly this establishment isn't even close to living up to the hefty price tag they charge. Never again.

Absoultly love this place for both the knowledgable massage therapists and excellent esthetians…read more I have a connective tissue disorder which in turn causes a fair bit of muscle and joint discomfort/ tightness. I have been seeing massage therapist Crystal for several years. I go about every 4 to 6 weeks. She has amazing knowledge, professsionalism and always friendly demeanour. The work she does on my back/neck is truly a lifesaver, allowing me to function. The rooms used for the massages are nicely decorated in a warm peaceful decor. There is soft relaxing music playing and no outside noise can be heard. I should also say the room and massage table is sturdy, comfortable and very clean. The waiting area before treatments is a fair size with plush seating and reading material. The Pure Escape's front desk receptionists are friendly, helpful and accomdating. They direct bill most insurance companies which is also wonderful bonus. They have fun specials for esthetics. I just got a wonderful Pumpkin Spice pedicure and shellac manicure with Kailey for fall. Wow, was I ever impressed. Kailey is friendly, professional and does fantastic work. I felt very comfortable and put at ease at the cleaniness of the esthetic area. Santized, fresh tools, and proper technique were all observed. Prices are reasonable, Accomdating shift hours, the location is great right on Corydon/ bus stop right in front. Thanks for being a wonderful establishment, I will proudly continue to use and reccomend.

When I asked to book at appointment for the 'spa pedicure', she hesitated when I told her I had this coupon. She then informed me that that coupon was old tans that their prices had changed... But again, there was no prices listed at all on the coupon. I was like "so you won't honour this coupon?", and she was like, "if we do we'll have to charge you the old price" and then I'm like "but there is no price listed on the coupon, it just says $15 off Spa Pedicure. How much is the spa pedicure?" She says, "42$, but that's the new price, if you want to use the coupon we'll have to charge you the old price, which is 55$" Then I was like, "so... You can't honour the coupon?" And she says "ya, no" How does this make sense. I guess their logic is that their prices are so low that coupons don't apply... I should have known better... I had three of these to begin with and I used one already (a couple months ago). Since I had three, I tried to book three different treatments all in one day (pedi/mani/facial, sounds good right?!) But they told me I couldn't do that, that I would have to make three separate appointments on three separate days. Which I thought was strange, it's not like I was trying to pull one over on them... Ya know. I just thought, three coupons, three treatments. Why not make a day of it. Seems like they could be a bit more flexible.
