My hygienist Rebecca was amazing. She was very thorough and explained everything so well. My treatment plan and how it affects me and my health. When I get treatment they offer me a list of items I can have such as a blanket, water, the remote to the tv and several other items. They provide me with glasses for my treatment and a hot towel to clean my face. I definitely don't mind visiting the office when I typically go running.

Everything looks great and I suppose is intended to be impressive with all the latest tech etc. but when a customer experiences as many issues, mishaps, lack of communication, etc. as I have, then none of that matters. I would encourage the office to focus on the level of service provided to your customers and a little less on having all the latest gizmos. Anyone that believes any of that matters while delivering the poorest customer experience ever (what a title to inherit) is sadly mistaken. I literally picked the office due to the glowing reviews but I would advise anyone who likes to avoid hassle and headache to absolutely stay away. Involving the office manager has not seemed to have made the least bit of difference either. I cannot wait for my treatment to be done (IF that EVER happens) so I can find somewhere else in a hurry. The original crown that was made in the office by Dr. Anjali Bhatia was extremely rough and, in my opinion, unacceptable. I had to return to the office several times before a replacement crown was sent out to be made. Before the replacement crown was ordered, I specifically asked Dr. Bhatia whether I would have to pay for the new crown since the original one was not acceptable. She asked me to wait while she checked, and when she returned, she told me that I would not be charged. Because I relied on what Dr. Bhatia told me, I was very surprised when I spoke with Jordan the person who handles the financial part. She told me that I was responsible for the charge because I had signed the financial paperwork. I explained that I had spoken directly with Dr. Bhatia afterward and had been told there would be no charge. Unfortunately, the financial department did not resolve the situation in a way that I felt was fair. What could they improve? Communication and accountability, especially when it comes to financial matters. If a dentist tells a patient that they will not be charged for a replacement due to a problem with the original work, that information should be clearly documented and honored by the financial department. Patients should not be given conflicting information by different members of the practice. I was also asked if I wanted to become a regular patient. After this experience, I would not feel comfortable returning or recommending Westside Modern Dentistry to others. I do want to emphasize that the front-desk ladies were very nice and helpful throughout my visits, and I truly appreciated their kindness.

I had two separate visits. My first visit was for X-rays and a dental cleaning. My second visit was for a filling to be replaced. Dr. Menendez and the dental technician were awesome. They clearly explained what was covered by my Cigna insurance and what work would be done. I'm extremely happy with the cleaning and my new filling. They kept telling us that our children needed a special toothpaste to remineralize their teeth to avoid cavities, but every 6 months they needed multiple fillings, sometimes multiple sides on a tooth. One child had so many fillings (10-12 teeth) that I finally called to check which teeth had gotten done before. Some teeth had been done more than once, but they told me they were different spots on the same tooth. My youngest was leaving for college last year and yet again they told us he had 3 teeth with cavities, but they could "squeeze" him in right then. That way he could be done before he left for college. We took care of them. Those three teeth were $1042. Fast forward, he returns from college, goes for his cleaning and now he has 3 more teeth with cavities at an estimated cost o $975. He was home for summer, so they scheduled him for a while later. Luckily for us, we moved and found another dentist near our new home. We forwarded his records to the new dentist and scheduled an appointmemt to take care of the 3 teeth that had multiple cavities. My son went to the appointment and came home in less than 30 minutes. The dentist looked at his X-rays, took new ones and said they did not see any cavities! In fact they looked at the cavities that had been filled PREVIOUSLY on the X-rays and said they would not have filled most of them. They showed him and me what to look for on an X-ray, so we could see for ourselves. Going to Restoration Dental cost us thousands of dollars in unnecessary fillings. Nevermind the trauma that my children had to endure with getting shots and further tooth damage for the unnecessary drilling that was done to "clean out" nonexisting cavities. Now my children have the good fortune of looking forwards to possibly having these unnecessary fillings weaken their teeth over time and potentially cause broken teeth, more painful procedures and bigger bills as they get older. I have attached a copy of the last estimate for my son (look how many more teeth they were "watching"). LET ME REPEAT THAT THE NEW DENTIST DID NOT SEE ONE ISSUE THAT WAS ON THE ESTIMATE, AND LOOKED AT HIS PREVIOUSLY FILLED CAVITIES AND SAID THEY WOULD NOT HAVE FILLED MOST OF THEM. If you choose to go to this dentist, don't trust what they say, have them prove it to you. Btw, I noticed there is another review complaining of the same thing. This practice should refund my money and pay me for damaging my children's teeth. I am trying to see where I can legally report them.

I freaked out and went straight to urgent care, where my top number blood pressure read 30 points lower than what their meter showed. Disconcerting, to say the least. They seem like an efficient office. They do everything on time. Everyone working there seems to know what they're doing--from the receptionist, the dentist, and the assistants. They are all thorough and professional. I also like it how they have TVs in every room. They also provide you with free toothpaste, toothbrush, and a bottle of water. Dr. McMasters, the dentist is a nice guy. The first visit I had with him was the first time I've seen a dentist in over 15 years. Luckily, I didn't have a cavity. I did have a lot of tarter buildup, however. He removed all the buildup during my normal checkup. Normally, I would have to come in later and pay for a deep dental cleansing. I thought it was cool of him to do it during my regular checkup. The office also has a sign that says, "We cater to cowards." I don't fear the dentist. I'm sure some people do though. The area around the office is pretty hectic though. It's in the intersection of a busy Vinings intersection. The entrance to the office is very small and deceiving. It's actually next to the Orient Express Entrance. Don't make the mistake and go into Orient Express or you'll have to drive out and brave the traffic again. And no, you can't just park at Orient Express because you might get towed. Leaving the office is also kinda confusing. You have to go through the gate and turn right. Then you can find your way to Paces Ferry Rd. But leaving the parking lot seems much easier than going in.

I briefly FaceTimed him so he could see her during the visit. The dentist abruptly said, "No FaceTime," in a curt manner. I completely understand if that is the office policy, but the delivery felt rude and there was no explanation given. The second situation happened during another visit when Dr. Z told me I could not be rude to his staff. I was very confused because I had no idea what he was referring to, and I told him that I hadn't been rude. He responded with something along the lines of, "Come on, I know you were." Shortly after, a staff member came into the room and explained that they had mistaken me for a different parent. Dr. Z did apologize, and I understand that mistakes happen, but the interaction added to the overall feeling that the environment was not very warm or welcoming. Because of these experiences, we have not returned.
