The room was a harbour view suite the view wasn't as good as expected as we were on the first floor. The room it self was quite nice and well equipped with 2 tvs good bed etc. The parking is a bit of an issue as self parking is made difficult as you need to have a staff member go with you every time when you want to park so the only viable option is valet parking at $29.00 per day. The onsite restaurant is quite reasonable for an evening meal (but there are also a lot of other restaurants nearby) the restaurant is also where you have breakfast which is very pleasant with a good range of food options. All in all it's very pleasant hotel.

Keeping as close to my home attempt as possible (passionfruit inspired), I chose the passion fruit mist gateaux. White chocolate mud cake, passion fruit mousse and lime curd. I'm a chocolate girl but this was devine. Really fresh flavours and light enough for a second piece. Haven't been for a while and was surprised to find it doubled in size and serving dinner twice a week. Seems they've joined the fancy donut craze but I'm not complaining. Love the new look cake boxes too. Much prettier than the old plain white. Will have to return for breakfast, lunch and maybe a dinner.

We booked our fly cruise holiday with NATALIE REVELL when she was based in Mackay about a year ago…read more she was very professional and knowledgeable advising us of things we hadn't even thought of and covering every detail. ie visas, transfers, accommodation, customs ect. she kept us updated with any flight changes ect. Natalie went over and above her duties to help us arrange alternative flights and accommodation to get us back home. she also contacted the cruise company to cancel our trip and arrange some credits. she did so much of this after hours and in her own time. We will be forever grateful for her help and would highly recommend Natalie if you are considering any type of travel.
