This fantastic Thai restaurant, conveniently located near my home, I'm shocked that I didn't know about it sooner. I had been searching for a place to have lunch with my husband and stumbled upon this gem on Yelp after reading the amazing reviews. I really wanted to try it. The service here is impeccable. Our server, a delightful and helpful young woman, took our order with great care. I opted for a wonton soup with a medium level of spice, while my husband savored a plate of rice and pork, saying it one of the best he's ever had--a testament to his love for rice. To complement my meal, I also had an Iced Thai tea, which was also delicious. The flavors were so delicious that I couldn't resist ordering another the very next day! Ordered the tom kha chicken, larb chicken, and garlic black pepper shrimp on DoorDash trying to keep it low carb... and honestly, not mad at it. Tom kha was creamy, tangy, and actually had flavor (which feels rare these days). Larb chicken was fresh and herby, giving "I'm being healthy but still enjoying my life." The garlic black pepper shrimp had a nice kick and hit the spot, plus it came with white rice on the side, which I appreciated since most places charge extra. Portions were generous (had leftovers for the next day), packaging held up, and nothing arrived looking tragic, which is always a win with delivery. Service-wise, everything was smooth. Order was accurate, ready on time, and packed well, which honestly makes a big difference with delivery. Haven't dined in yet, but based on the photos, the space looks casual, clean, and no-frills, like a solid go-to spot when you just want good food without the fuss. Inside / outside seating, small & cute place that I'm sure can get very busy very fast as the food is excellent. Portions were generous and while there was one waitress handling all the tables, she was very sweet and quick as she could be being solo - she was great. We had soups, spicy edamame, and the lunch specials that were $15.95 that came with a small salad, egg roll, rice and the main course of choice. And dipping sauce - Cream cheese fried wontons - Yellow curry with tofu and white rice - the flavor is to die for!! It came with onions, tofu chunks, carrots, and potatoes. We got a spice level 1 of 5 but could have definitely tried a level 2 - Pad Thai with Chicken - yum!! - House fried rice with chicken. Came packed with fresh veggies - mango sticky rice.. MUST GET - Thai iced tea - great spice level The restaurant is small and intimate. It has a limited amount of tables (and most likely will have a long wait) - but I promise that it will be worth it! We called in our order and picked it up (due to having a toddler with us). The portion sizes were huge and plenty for family sharing. My husband and I love Thai food! We always go to Sawsadee but wanted to try A new place and had bookmarked this place for a while and figured why not! It was so much food! They close from 2:30-5 and then open again for dinner! They were busy with so many to go orders! We had the pad Thai and cashew nut noodles which was good! Was craving thai food during our recent rainy day and discovered Moons after a quick Yelp search of nearby places. Was able to place my order over the phone and opted for their pad thai lunch special, which came with rice and an egg roll. The space itself is beautifully decorated and the lady who assisted me was so nice. I ordered the pad thai with beef and was blown away by how tender it was and also by how plentiful! Hands down the best pad thai I have had in Ventura so far and one of the best I have had in a long time. Unfortunately the egg roll was no longer crisp as it was packaged inside the container with the pad thai, which created a lot of moisture. I would recommend it be package separately so this does not happen.Next time I would probably just get the a la carte pad thai instead of the lunch special as I didn't need the extra carbs of the rice and the price was basically the same. The Northern Khao Soi was tasty! A selection of meat is part of the meal. I got the beef hoping for the best bang for much buck but in hindsight, I probably should've gotten the pork. The beef was well-done and then some, I would guess they just threw the beef chunks into the curry broth and cooked it along with everything else. If I knew that was going to be the case, I would've gotten the pork. I would say the beef portion was very generous though, to the point where I think they should've had more noodles. The food was delicious. The yellow curry is a must. We ordered an appetizer that never came to the table. We also ordered drunken noodles with no onions, and it came with onions. At the moment there was just another table with people so it is not that they were too busy. It is a small restaurant, so I would recommend maybe getting the food to go and double check your order is correct before taking it home. The staff was friendly, just the order incorrect. read more

My friend Imo and I stopped in, we had a great time. Amazing customer service! Staff are so friendly! I love to chat, so appreciate staff that is happy to interact.   We had the pork dumplings , chicken panang, and chicken krapow. I did not taste the chicken krapow bc typically .., I don't believe I've liked it at other spots. I go for the curry, soup or noodle dishes. My go-tos are the Pad Thai or Panang! We did spice level 3 but I think I could've done spice level 5. It's just easier to add more spice than take away. The portion sizes are huge and we had leftovers for days. Major score.  I think 1 dish can feed 2-3 people EASY. The generous portions, reasonable prices and awesome staff make this my new fave Thai place! The restaurant is small, neat and clean. Found this place on, you guessed it, Yelp, of course! My parents had no idea about this place and were skeptical that it would be better than what they have been accustomed to in Ventura/Oxnard. Well, we were all pleasantly surprised in a good way. The food is delicious. Made fresh to order. And huge portions. Excellent. I loved the egg rolls, the chicken satay, and our dishes. A friend of mine had been wanting to check out Moon's Thai, and I'm so glad I tagged along because this place is GOOD. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and fun. Shoutout to our new Australian friend who had us laughing every time he checked in or took our order. The ambiance was also really nice and inviting. We ordered the Pad Thai, Panang curry, Pork gyoza, and Chicken Kra Pow. Everything was so tasty and flavorful, but the star of the meal was the Panang Curry. It was seriously one of the best curries I've ever had. I'm still thinking about it as I write this. It's in my Top 5 now! The one thing that fell short for me was the Kra Pow. Stumbled upon this place while we were road tripping. Food was delicious and flavorful. The portions were more than we expected from your typical Thai restaurants. Nice friendly service for a family of 4. We got the drunken noodles, tom yum soup, wings, egg rolls and pineapple fried rice. All hit the right spot and we washed it down with a Thai tea. My personal feeling is that this is the best Thai food in Ventura County. My wife and I went the other night because a friend recommended it and it did not disappoint. I ordered the drunken noodles and they were wonderful, my wife ordered the Avocado Green curry and it was off the charts! If they offered the curry as soup I would order it because it is that good.
