The S'mores Frappé is one of my go-tos, but I always like checking things out on their seasonal menus. For the pumpkin spice girlies like me, they have it year-round! The food is great as well, whether you are looking for breakfast or lunch. The biscuits and gravy is killer, but its a Saturday special. The Moon Over Italy and Twisted Pig are both amazing sandwiches. The vibes are on point - the music always nice, and the atmosphere pretty chill. Besides Fruit Smoothies & Italian Soda's they have regular Coffee, Espresso based drinks like Latte's (Warm and Iced), Americanos, Macchiato, Cappuccino etc. They also have Hot Tea and Iced Tea. Also available is milk alternatives like Soy, Almond, and Coconut milk. They have hot chocolate that is made with Ghiradelli Chocolate, which sounds amazing and I hope to try sometime soon. For some reason that I do not know, he had discounted his entire menu by 50%, which was great, because his prices were a little more than I prefer to spend on coffee. HOWEVER, I would gladly spend $6 on his mochas than $4.50 for one at Starbucks. It was rich and smooth and honestly one of the best mochas I have ever tasted. We looked around then ordered a couple coffees. The young lady that took care of us was very polite and super helpful. She said they had been here for at least 3 years and yet somehow I never knew it. I drive by here all the time and now I know there is a coffee shop. I will be back. I ordered a hot blackberry mocha that was very tasty. The place was very clean and when you walk in the back door you can even see the bathroom looks very clean as well. But I was just passing through Middletown, where I used to have family connections, and found myself walking along Central Avenue... when I saw the store-front for Crab Apple Books. An excellent supply of books - of all types! I am interested in history, history of science, and older books - and I found good examples of all, at very good prices. It is also a coffee shop, and it looks like it could be a mellow place to hang out for a while. Not too much happening on Central Avenue - but it would be cool if this were the start of life coming back to downtown Middletown!
