I really enjoy going there to watch the football games and happy hour. It is a huge bar with lots of TV's to watch the action. The happy hour is awesome with cheap prices! Chicken wings are priced at only 1 dollar most of the time...and they are big with excellent sauces to choose from including dry rub. The sandwiches are delicious as well. They also have Walleye which is hard to find in Cincinnati. Julia, behind the bar is a real sweetheart and goes out of her way to make me feel at home in this very hospitable establishment. Dave the owner and his wife are very welcoming and I appreciate their friendliness. If you haven't been here, you don't know what your missing!

The Taproom bar has a cozy historic, small town feel. We sat up at the bar. The bartender, our…read moreserver, was friendly and attentive. She checked on us several times. Food comes out super quick. The fish taco and crawfish taco were excellent with a spicy kick from either the aioli or pickled onions. The cod tasted fresh and I liked the breading. I'd order these again, hands down. My husband had his hand breaded tenderloin with fries. He loved the brioche roll and the generous pork patty was tender. He would have liked a bit of seasoning in the breading. The fries are perfectly crispy and delicious. We found free street parking nearby.

Stopped back in again to OBT while in town for work... Good, but not as good as the last time…read morearound. OBT still has that same cool laid back small town watering hole vibes... The service was alright (not bad, but nothing special this go), the food was good except the wings that were very rubbery, and they have a great tap and bottled beer selection. It was Taco Tuesday ($2.50 tacos), so I think every local schooner in Madison was there for dinner. Apparently a bunch of restaurants in town are closed on Tuesdays, but OBT is not one of them. Overall, good but not great... Cool place though, so I'll come back again when in town.

Rating: (3.6/5) We…read morelove coming to Banners to hang out with friends. Most of the time we stop in for a few beers and some finger foods, but this visit we decided to have dinner. We started with the Wisconsin cheese curds, and they were delicious--definitely one of the better appetizers on the menu and something I'd order again. For our entrees, we had the steak quesadilla and the buffalo chicken tacos. The steak quesadilla wasn't anything fancy, but it had great flavor, and the steak was cooked perfectly. The buffalo chicken tacos were also tasty, although I wish there had been an option to order them with grilled chicken instead of fried. The staff is always friendly, and we've consistently had good service every time we've visited. If you're looking for a laid-back spot with good food, cold drinks, and a fun atmosphere for dinner or game day, Banners is definitely worth checking out.

Well sitting here waiting for game 1 of the NHL finals to start…read more The people running this place have all been really nice, efficient and attentive. This place is a little different for a sports bar, but in a decent way, chill and fancier vibe than a normal sports bar. It's has an open area but with multiple areas /room to escape and converse if needed. Two bars and couches in front of a biggest TV in bar I believe. I had a burger and fries, burger was very good, when I say a good burger, it alone was worth the visit, fries were fries, I just don't like these type of fries. If in the area and looking for something decent you can't go wrong, well at least I didn't on this visit, will go back for sure. Hope you enjoy as I did.
