He made suggestions based on some landscaping challenges I had. The purchase and financing went smoothly and he even moved up the planting date to be done before my party. The installers showed up on time, left the area clean with some instructions. Kody has checked in twice so far to make sure I am happy with the purchase. I had a great experience with this nursery about five years ago and purchased several trees that have done very well. Based on that positive experience, I recently returned intending to buy more. Unfortunately, I was surprised by how much the pricing had changed. The trees themselves have increased significantly in price since my last purchase, but what really stood out was the installation estimate. The quoted cost for delivery and installation exceeded the cost of the trees themselves. When I asked about the pricing, I was told the company now uses heavy equipment so employees aren't subjected to excessive physical strain. I completely support investing in worker safety. However, I was also told that equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and loaders is rented on a project-by-project basis, with those rental costs passed directly on to the customer. That business model was difficult for me to understand. A company whose primary business is growing, delivering, and installing trees would seem to benefit from owning much of its own equipment. Spreading those capital costs across many projects could potentially reduce installation costs for customers instead of passing along expensive rental charges for each individual job. Because of the overall cost, I decided not to move forward with the purchase. I also noticed that products I had purchased in the past, such as Moon Juice and Moon Green fertilizer, have increased substantially in price over the last several years. I understand that inflation and operating costs have risen, and I don't expect prices to stay the same forever. However, the overall increase in both products and installation costs has reached a point where I no longer feel this nursery offers the value it once did. That's unfortunate, because my previous experience here was excellent, and I had hoped to become a repeat customer however I won't be back ever again. Moon Valley is pricing themselves out of existence. read more

I was such a WRECK trying to find the right design and look for my home in Riverside so I decided to check out Moon Valley with my husband. He wanted things that needed attention and watering and I had to remind him that I was always killing even our plastic plants! Called repeatedly and was told that all it needed was " moon juice" so I bought the juice and still it never thrived. 6 months later it was dead. Thanks for nothing!!! I bought a beautiful Desert Gold Peach tree from Moon Valley in Chino. It was a really nice experience. Big shout out to Ana 'Apple' Garita who was extremely helpful. She helped me find just the right tree and they loaded it up for me and now it's happily in the ground. I look forward to some nice ripe peaches in just a couple months! Travis is definitely a Tree Whisperer! He clearly knows and loves trees and he not only knew what he was doing, but also explained to us what he was doing and why-- which is very important to me since ultimately we'll be on our own here and want our trees as healthy and happy as possible in the long run. We visited this nursery looking for trees to plant for privacy and were particularly interested in Indian Laurel trees. The staff was very helpful one of the team members even gave us a ride on a cart to the back area to view the trees up close. We had our young toddler with us in the cart so the staff member drove very carefully so we appreciated that. The trees were full and well cared for. The price was a bit outside our budget but we were impressed with the quality and the excellent customer service. They also have a great selection of fruit trees, we'll definitely consider coming back at a later time. read more

One star because you have to at least give one. Unfortunately fell for another typical business scam from a big powerhouse conglomerate who will never get my business ever again nor will they get any money out of anyone that I know so that'll knock about a good $200,000 people right off of their customer list. Signed up for a program salesperson Tony put a deposit of $200 down, they will come out to the property evaluate what we have existing already make recommendations for various pruning future growth etc, and then when we decide what kind of a tree we want to put in or trees the 200 would go towards those purchases and they would come back out and set everything up for us. The girl also explicitly said no rush that deposit will just sit on the books until we are ready to use it. Now I'm being told they can't find any record of it but they do show past purchases just not that purchase of the deposit. Typical scam company will never do business with them not to mention that their prices are about seven times higher than anywhere else. read more
