I first heard about Moose from a friend who said it was great and wasn't able to try it until later…read moreon ... but since that first try ... I've been converted .. any time I can get into Manchester first 8am I make sure to head to moose for breakfast. Not only do they do a great coffee .. but their Canadian/American style breakfasts are the best I've had. The service is always exceptional and the place is doing so well with more and more places opening up and it makes me so happy. The servers are always so nice, and the food is always so good .. I usually go for the grande bouche (French toast with bacon) or veggie version (no bacon) and it is to die for. You get 2 large brioche french toasts and a very generous serving of real maple syrup and I can't get enough. I usually put some syrup in my coffee and Ooof. The portion is great ... I'm content after eating there .. not hungry and not uncomfortably full so it's just perfect and today we had 3 drinks and 3 meals for just under £10 each ... you can't grumble at that at all. I love moose and will always love moose

Unless they are clueless this is slang for kill Trump (the 47th President). If we weren't with family that we didn't want to embarrass we would have walked out immediately. For a restaurant that advertises as American food it was disgraceful. Food was mediocre.

I was looking for an American style brunch place (wanted fried chicken and waffles) and came across…read moreHome Sweet (although they didn't have C&W). I got their chicken tenders dish that came with fries, gravy, and slaw. It also came with a barbecue (I think it was barbecue) sauce. I was genuinely surprised as most brunch places I've been to never really serve any of their meals with sides (it's usually extra) so to have slaw and fries with this meal reminded me of how the food is back in America. The service was quick and after ordering, my food came soon after. I enjoyed the gravy more than the barbecue sauce. It had a bit of a sweet taste to it which works well with the chicken (I did find it a bit salty). The portion size was good for the price. I'm not too much of a fan of sweet things but I saw that they had pancakes and would try that next time I check this place out!

The restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived but it was 1040am on a Friday so had only been open 40 minutes. We were able to book on advanced just incase and it did get much busier while we were there. The staff were extremely friendly, there was lots of space inside with gorgeous big windows and we got seated and were ordering after a complimentary glass of iced water was brought to us. Fairy low wait times so you know everything was cooked fresh, the plating was amazing and the food was top notch. I went for the banana nutella pancakes with a vanilla latte and a mimosa. I'd go back now if I could .. that's how good it was.

After a heavy night I took my friend here for brunch. On the outside it looks closed. Walking up the stairs exposes a open kitchen and large seating area with cacti everywhere and a cool kat clock over looking the place. The service was enjoyable from start to finish..90 percent of staff including the chef looked genuinely happy to be working there dancing to the music smiling as they cooked and served. It gave it a buzz! The menu consists of well..a American diner..from the special board I chose the maple pecan nut shake and the Benny crab cakes.. my friend had the spinach and poached eggs dish with fresh mint tea. The Shake was huge and yummy and while I waited for my food I kept seeing indulgent stacks of pancakes being whisked away. My poached eggs were oozy and perfect and the crab cakes.. well very crabby! And rich..to break it up there was water melon on the side which refreshed the palette. My friend really enjoyed hers too. I really want to come back here :( please extend your opening times!!

One Sunday I went up as I could get there for opening time and decided to cross it off my list. When I got there it was already open so that was a little confusing ... but it was RAMMED. Luckily, I was going on my own so could easily be sat at the window, which was a great view, and easily got served. So many people came in after me and couldn't be seated without a reservation. But the host was very lovely and gracious and people understood. Food wise I went for the shakshuka, it sounded nice, and it really was ... it was also EXTREMELY hot because it was served in cast iron and kept its heat. It was delicious. The toast was crispy, the tomatoes were tasty, chickpeas were crunchy and a nice addition, The added sausage was very delicious, the eggs were good although I would have preferred if they had some runny yolk but its almost impossible to get that with baked eggs. Server was lovely, staff were great, absolutely need to return here when I can.

Very friendly ostess took my order and I had my food in less than 15 minutes (this was after the breakfast/brunch rush so they weren't super busy). I'd been eating a lot of unhealthy foods so it was really nice to get a smoothie and a vegetarian full English (but I did get the black pudding on the side). Ironically the coffee machine was broken but my spirit wasn't! Plus I don't really like coffee anyway so it didn't matter. The staff were all super nice (not a requirement obvi but it's nice) and the food was really tasty! The interior was nice too very maximalist vibes and it reminded me of something I'd see in LA. Overall a great place to get breakfast
