I texted to confirm that they were open on a day their website said they were open and was told they were closed. They then asked me to place an order, which I did and didn't hear back until a few days later. (Which is fine it was the weekend) but for a website that stresses the fact that they have no prices and are donation only, their "recommended donation" is twice what I already pay for raw milk and what I pay at the farmers market for the other items. I had no plans to short change them and was going to donate what I would normally pay Plus the fee for the glass milk bottles. I'm not comfortable countering with a 'donation' that I can afford when their recommendation is so high. Milk is $14 a gallon but sold in half gallon jugs that are $5 a piece, so that's $24 a gallon for your first purchase. (Bottles are reusable do goes down to $14/gal after that). I get that they run a ministry and it costs money but it feels so underhanded to put that your donation only and splash 'NO PRICES!' across your website only to blind side customers with the highest prices around when we place an order. I cancelled my order and explained that I don't couldn't afford that much and I didn't hear back. Nothing about 'donate what you can afford' which is what the website says, so I'm assuming that they're pretty firm on their 'recommended donation'. If you want to charge that much, list it on your website and justify your prices. Explain why it's worth it. Don't be underhanded about it. I was so excited to learn about what y'all do the and to try your products but I'm so turned off now. read more

I didn't mind paying $10 for the milk because you don't just go for the milk, you go for the experience. Me and my buddy Ike go to Texas State and I was looking for a place to get my raw milk needs and Seguin seemed to be the closest to San Marcos (26 miles) After being pissed off about getting lost while trying to get to this place, I thought I was going to have to put up with a bunch of religious nuts just by judging by the name. Not being very religious I didn't think I was going to care for "that kind" of experience and just pick up my milk and leave. I ended up staying 2 extra hours to chat with Gina and Denise. These ladies were very soulful, educated and offered stimulating conversation. They brought out some sweet tea and fried chicken for me and Ike (free) They asked us about our heritage and backgrounds and where we came from. We felt very at home and I didn't feel like I was being bombarded about why I wasn't a Christian. They offer tours, horseback riding and want to get to know you. I know I'll be returning for more milk and who knows I'll probably do some volunteer work one of these weekends. They gave us some personalized prayer for us on the way out and left on good mood. Moo Jesus was the best experience if you're wanting to try raw milk. We stopped for brunch one weekend and were met with open arms. Their coffee is by far the best I have EVER had!! I still dream about it. Word of advice: Pay attention to the directions on their website! Do not listen to your GPS! And bring cash because they are charged fees for every CC transaction. If you know what you want, call in advance because it does take a while to package the dairy and food. Bring a cooler too!! They we're very sweet and packaged up our dairy in a box and bag of ice but I would have preferred a cooler. read more

Consumers beware! The products from this establishment is substandard, to say the least, and way over-priced. We've tried several of their dairy products (milk, cheese, yogurt, buttermilk) and everyone of them had a less then fresh taste. In fact, the buttermilk and yogurt were sour and bitter with a near rancid aroma and taste. The cheese was mush and the milk went bad within two days and, as noted by another on this review thread, was missing the cream - skimmed off the milk then sold at a ridiculous price. I grew up on a farm, so I know how fresh farm products should taste and this establishment doesn't come close. If that isn't enough to deter you, then the following might. The "ranch" claims to be a holistic alternative to mainstream education. Gina, the self- appointed pastor, verbally claimed to be accredited with the state, although the website indicates exempt status and non-credentialed - something that seems to have been added recently. One particular student, having attended the school, found that none of the earned credits were transferrable to the public school system. The student and parents were told initially (verbally) that they were an accredited school. The curriculum is also less then adequate. More time is spent on physical " chores" than upon cognitive stimulation. In other words, more time is spent milking cows and scrubbing toilets than is delegated to book learning. As far as the "everything Jesus" emphasis, it seems as if their beliefs are skewed in the opposite direction of sound doctrine and ethical practices. In my opinion, both actions and attitudes, is quite the opposite of what Jesus would do. Additionally, their website proclaims that no one should be turned away because of monetary limitations. That is simply not the case. One particular student was, initially, ask to pay $1000 per month but settled upon $500. That's a lot of money to pay someone every month for a lack of proper education and an appearance of slave labor. If you are considering placing your child into this environment or buying the products, please reconsider. There is a vast discrepancy in what is advertised versus what is actuality. read more

I would not recommend purchasing from Moo Jesus Dairy. Like Ja J. I question their ethics. We started purchasing milk from them in the spring of 2016, because they were closest to our house (less than 10 miles). We had to purchase their glass 1/2-gallon jugs for $5.00 each. I'm positive they told me I could return them for our deposit back if we stopped. They were charging $14.00 per gallon. The last two times I picked up milk it had been skimmed. Normally there is somewhere between 2 and 3 inches of cream on the top of the milk once it separates. The last two times we had less than 1/2 an inch. (We were skimming the cream off and churning our own butter.) We started buying our milk from a dairy about 65 miles east of our house that only charges $5.50 per gallon. When I contacted Moo Jesus Dairy about returning the 5 glass jars we have for a refund on the deposit, I was told we had purchased them and could donate them back if we wanted. The thing that really annoys me the most is the people at the dairy appear to be very Christian. When you go there to buy milk they are always asking if they can pray for you. I am leaving as a dissatisfied customer who feels like they were unethical in their business dealings. Something I don't think a Christian is supposed to be. read more

I love MooJesus! Dairy, from the people to the products, this place is amazing! I started searching for raw milk almost a year ago because I wanted to put my Crohn's disease into remission through diet and stumbled across the Everything Jesus Ranch and MooJesus Dairy. I went out to visit in person the first time I purchased from them and the ranch is an incredible place to see. I am now a regular customer and enjoy everything from farm-fresh duck and chicken eggs, to long-simmered bone broth, grass-fed beef, the reishi coffee, and their dairy products. The staff is friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, they put care and love into everything they do; I would recommend this place to anyone looking to buy high-quality, farm-fresh, sustainable food from a place you can trust. read more

Our personal opinion that you should use caution in dealing with these people. I question the quality of their products and their ethics. Beware. We bought "leaf Lard" from them and the lard was not leaf lard, was soft mushy and possibly rancid and not rendered under a long slow heat they way leaf lard should be. If you go for the tour, be prepared to spend 95% of the time going 1/2 mph in a tractor pulled trailer which we werent prepared to do for 3 hours in the Texas heat. Also, for God's sake, EAT something before you go. We were under the impression we would be served "lunch" we arrived at 12:30 but the food didn't come until after 4pm. All the kids on the tour were hot and sweaty and bored out of their minds. No one was having fun. I really admire their philosophy towards sustainability and organic production but as a place to take young children for the day, this is not the place. I had a not so great experience here. Drove 2 hrs. to buy some cream, Edward was very nice and accommodating including packing the product in ice for me. I tried the cream 2 hours later when I arrived back home and it was totally soured. (Spoiled) It wasn't fresh at all. I had to throw it out. I emailed them about the issue and got no response.
