Please note this is not exactly a farmers market... I don't recall seeing any fresh fruits and vegetables or maybe there were some and I just didn't notice. This farming couple have been here for about 5 or more years. They have tons of fruits and vegetables, everything you will need. I bought homegrown tomatoes, squash, field peas, and peaches. They were very friendly and had information on all of the products. I went to the Seguin Farmers market last Saturday, and there was only one booth, This couple on the side of the hwy sells the equivalent of 5 booths. If you need organic vegetables, look for the farmer's stand right across the Chevron on Hwy 78 in Mcqueeney/Seguin.

The vendors: - a man that makes organic dog treats - a honey man with many flavors all natural - a produce person all organic - a team selling homemade and gluten free breads (fruit/banana). - a lady selling home crafted cotton kitchen towels - the Filipino Express food truck selling charred pork on a stick and eggrolls - a dry beef and sausage maker - a lady selling wooden crafted crosses and religious stuff - an olive oil vendor I'd like to see more vendors here, but if I want a pork stick, some organic vegetables, or some honey--I'll definitely come back. This is more like a street party with food trucks, venders and artisans. They shut the streets down. There's a huge stage with a band. Food trucks line the streets. Another area is venders and produce, seafood, and even home made items. Restaurants open their doors, they even have a small table out on the sidewalk sampling drinks. YES, looks like you can walk around with a drink in hand. I saw people selling beer in copper mugs. White Claw booth. ZAO was giving away 12 ounce drinks as well. So impressed. Had a great time. I did pay $3.00 for parking. I'm sure there is free street parking. But since I don't know my way around. I just paid at the first lot of saw that wasn't full. Well worth $3.00. I think it was for 2 hours. Can totally see people spending their whole day here getting food, listening to the band enjoying the sunshine, as the rain storm we got. It was truly one of the highlights of my trip and I would highly recommend visiting to anyone in the area, and I hope to go again in the future! The parking nearby was a short walk but nothing crazy, and once we got to the Market it was shaded very well and had such a variety of stands both inside and outside of the buildings which I loved. It was a little hot outside so it was nice to be able to rotate between both areas. There was also such a great mix of stores, restaurants, snack stands, and artisans and crafts throughout. We grabbed some aguas frescas to sip on while we explored and they were delicious and a great price for how big they were. We had a big breakfast but it would be nice to try some of the many lunch spots they had throughout the market. The stores had everything but I loved the amount of talavera pottery to choose from and stocked up as much as my suitcase would allow. Prices are super reasonable as well considering these are handmade artisan pieces. I use my tazas everyday and they are the best coffee cups I have ever had. The merchants are super friendly and helpful as well. Everyone was very welcoming and made it a great experience. I hope to be back in the future!

We went on a Sunday so it was not crowded but it was BORING. My 16 year old called it Lame and the best part about Market square for both of us was the caricature guy. I've waited many years to visit the place and wish I would have left it on my to do list. I'm sure it's really pretty at night but I was bored and Underwhelmed.

Alamo Heights Farmers Market is conveniently located in The Quarry parking lot near Gold's Gym. This farmers market is not as big as other ones in the city but it has a lot of good options; plants, grass-fed beef, honey, aguas frescas, organic health products and much more! The best find during our first visit here was a Brazilian baker which was selling delicious brazilian baked goods. We decided to order two of his savory options; Pao de Queijo and Coxinha. The Pao de Queijo was so soft and delicious. The Coxinha was filled with shredded chicken and cheese, which made it the perfect breakfast bite. We will definitely be coming back!

It's a family owned business, with the owner and his kid hanging out on Sundays to sell their candles. Worried about your house burning down? They have little wax cartridges that you can load into a hopper that melts them and makes it smell good. When I got to meet Funderkandles, they were hanging out at the Alamo Heights Farmers Market, but they go to other markets on other days, and can be bought online.

On Saturdays they host more of the classic "farmers market" where you can find local produces from around the area. However, on Sundays they host a "makers market" where is mainly produce and stuff made by amazing local businesses. The market has grown so much in the last couple of years that now truly covers the entire outdoor space of The Pearl. For the summer they changed their hours and markets start at 9am and I believe in winter they will move it back to 10am. They also host a couple evening markets on the weekdays for those looking to stay out of the heat. This market is always such a great time and it is very family and pet-friendly! I am annoyed by the $13 a day parking. No by the hour! So the Pearl in a little over 3 years has gone from no charge to $3 then $8 and now $13 for parking under the highway.
