What I DO know for a fact is that they saved my friend's cat who was growing more and more lethargic and had zero energy (and the other healthy cat got even healthier!). My own cat is looking great and feeling awesome (if bouncing off the walls is any indication) and as for the one who won't eat raw food, the very knowledgeable owners of Bailey Blu recommended REAL quality canned food and took my obese, sluggish female 11-year-old from lethargic to lively. Five-star-recommendation!

I went into Bailey Blu for feeding information prior to adopting my dog (knowing they had a raw food line), and I was extremely impressed with their professionalism and respect in our discussion of raw versus dehydrated versus premium kibbles versus national brand kibbles. They never pushed anything, just explained the facts and encouraged me to do more research. In fact, we have had several discussions over the past year and a half on what is best for my dog and we have tried different foods, ending up with a premium grain-free 100% Canadian sourced and manufactured kibble. I have recommended the store to several people all of whom have had a great experience in the store and all their questions were answered (some went for food advice, others for teeth cleaning advice, others for alternatives to pest control treatments). In addition to all this, they provide above-and-beyond support to local rescues and animal welfare awareness and education which is important for me in looking for ethical, local companies who "give back". . I could buy the food my dog is currently eating around the corner from my house, but I choose to go out of my way to Bailey Blu for all of the above reasons.

Would love to say it's a solid 5 stars because the owner is really fabulous and he deserves 5 stars…read more... But it has a few points to improve upon, so 4.5 stars rounded up for still being exceptional and promoting responsible pet ownership practices. I like the staff, they're friendly and helpful and never make u feel like youre bothering them when u need help, but they could improve with salesmanship, at least a bit, I think. For instance I sought out a particular bird: Fiji - a green cheek conure originally being sold at 750$, (price reduced to 650$ either as a Christmas sale or perhaps because by then she had been there for almost a year if not a bit more). Every time, I visited her for anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes, for almost a year at least once, but by the end 2-3 times a month (any excuse to visit her, we developed quite the bond). Despite my obvious fascination and bond with her not once did anyone ever approach me to see if maybe I'd like to handle her (this likely would have made me totally ignore the fact I could not afford her and I likely would have accrued the debt), I never bothered asking because I knew I couldn't afford her. So while I'm kind of glad they didn't, I also feel in terms of a business they missed a sales opportunity. Fiji was eventually bought by someone, much to my heartbreaking bittersweet discovery, but had they attempted any type of salesmanship I likely would have bought her much sooner. 2nd I'm quite sad about the recent renovations. Usually, renovations make things nicer, in this case they closed off the basement portion (which used to house the reptiles and fish etc) and put everything together upstairs. I find it takes away a bit of the aesthetic pleasure of this place and I no longer go visit the reptile n fish sections as often as I used to because they're more functional now and less attracting. They used to be set up and decorated so beautifully. But staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful, the prices are within par of other pet stores, sometimes nice discounts, the animals are well cared for and appear content. The pets frequently get shoulder perch privileges from the staff and frequent cuddle moments if it's an animal that requires this affection. Even the snakes get to hang around the staff. Ultimately I think they should offer us customers to hold, touch, feel and interact with the pets more proactively and, most importantly, I wish they would re-open the basement set-up with the aquariums and terrariums which used to be a favorite part of our visits. Otherwise, I think this is an excellent pet shop for healthy pets, excellent quality accessories and friendly supportive advice, help and services (like nail cutting).

What we were unaware of was the difference between a Belgium and a German Shepard. We soon found out as per the description of a Belgium Shepard, they exhibit energy levels that are among the highest of all dog breeds. Furthermore, they can have puppy-like energy until the age of three, though it is not uncommon for them to exhibit this energy level until the age of five. That was Ralf. We looked into many training options but found that Gaby Popper's methods and approach made the most sense, we wanted a happy dog but also a dog who worked with us to maintain a balance in the home, and that is what we have. From the beginning Gaby was clear on what he expected from us and from Ralf and worked closely with us to ensure that the results that we wanted could happen. Ralf responded to Gaby in such a positive way which helped give us the confidence in both our ability to train Ralf to be the best dog that he could be but also established a trust between Ralf and ourselves which laid the foundations for success. Ralf wanted to learn, he loved his training sessions and responded well to the methods put in place. We could not be more grateful for Gaby's help and guidance, we now have a very happy dog who understands his place in the home, who listens, follows instructions, respect the boundaries set and the love and affection that he gives us is a direct result of being content in his environment. In addition, we have taken a very similar approach with our existing dog who is also now much happier with the new structure in place. We would highly recommend Gaby Popper and his Montreal Dog Training School. We are looking forward to attending the group sessions.

They provide food, liter, toys, mini furniture and more for pets. The store is small, but feels lively! The best part of entering this boutique is that you are welcomed by a beautiful dog Callie. She is so well behaved, her eyes are so adorable, they just simply steal your heart. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. They are super knowledgeable about every single products. You can see their love and passion towards animals. What's so best about this boutique when you can buy supplies for your pets from Walmart or Canadian Tire or somewhere else... For example, the food for my cats that I buy are biological and they are easy on their digestive system. The liter that I get is odor locked...after my cats' business done, the surrounding of liter box do not smell. These are my main products that I purchase almost every month and half. It's so amazing how the products last so long. I will be honest, the products are slightly expensive, but for the health and love of your pets, it's worth it. This isn't a shop that was built for the sole purpose of turning a buck, but because they are truly passionate about their product. I learn new things about my pet all the time by visiting here. Second, just as they care about their animals, they care about their customers. I have a crazy life; I'm frequently (see: weekly) being sent out of country for work, to include overseas, and Pawse has been there for me every step of the way. Their delivery service is an absolute life-saver for our family. Finally, their pricing. I upgraded my food by coming here, and still save money week after week. They're definitely not giving anything away, but they're also not being beat out in regards to price by anywhere else in Montreal. This is truly a one-stop-shop. 10/10. Thanks Pawse.
