First, I'd have given it a 5 for cleanliness and pricing ... BUT, the manager is totally inept. On a Sunday afternoon (today) my wife and I drove 30 miles there to watch a movie. In order to be sure that there would be a seat, we paid an additional 2 dollars to buy our tickets online. just into the movie, some bright flashing strobes on the side walls began to hit the crowd, and then a recording came on to say that there was an emergency and we should all leave. As soon as we arrived in the hallway we were told that it was a false alarm and to return to our seats. The flashing lights never turned off, but the movie continued. About 10 minutes later, while the lights flashed, the movie froze, no one came in to explain. I went out and spoke with the manager. He informed a group of us that there was nothing he could do ... blah, blah, blah ... I then asked him if it was going to be repaired or was the movie over. He said that we could go get a ticket for another time, but failed to answer if the movie today was over, or not. When asked again to simply tell us if it was over, he literally ran away saying that he didn't have time to answer, that if he was able to fix it, the lights would come on again ...
We didn't drive 30 miles to buy their snacks and to pay for a ticket to a movie at another time. Getting a refund, short the fees for buying online, and walking out with an overpriced bag of corn and a drink isn't our idea of a good night out - but - furthermore, if this guy was so inept at fixing a "false alarm," how was he ever going to be in a position of handling a real bad situation? With all of the tragedies happening across the nation, some of which are in movie theaters, who in the world would put someone like this guy in charge of a theater of this size? Who's to say that this wasn't a "test" of the theater by another deranged person?
Up until this happened, we were pleased with the theater. That said, I'd have a hard time returning given the way this manager handled what should have been a relatively easy process. Was he improperly trained, or is he just that unable to handle "stress?" read more
