If you are a Catholic I would stay away. The RV park is dirty constantly noisy! Fire hazards in the office no handicap accessible bathroom no handicap accessible laundry. This play should be shut down! I called the fire department to check on its fire codes and the things that were wrong with the entire building and the fire chief ignored me they called the police on me when I tried to show them that there were fire hazards this place should not be state that it is not family friendly dogs are off their leashes people do not pick up their feces if you are miss fortunate enough to be by the dog walk you will be smelling feces and urine your entire time. There are no trees no honorees and no amenities this place does not even sell cokes ice or even the newspaper... There are many people that have been living there for years that have trash night around all over the place stay away.

A nice gentleman told us he was wrapping up for the day and to just get here and pick any open (no reserved sign spot) which is what we did. In the morning we mosy into the office and are greeted by miss chip on the shoulder (COTS), "what you didn't have a reservation?" She says nastily. Then we tell them we'll stay one more night and we're in spot 48. "Oh we need that spot" - there are probably about 50 pull in spots open. Little miss COTS and her sidekick wanted us to pack up, reattach the car, reset to move 1 spot forward. Seriously? We'd told them, if we're going to spend all that effort we'll just go get a spot at the state park and they made NO effort to keep our business. COTS even remarked "Well then ill just check em in and out in the computer. Then she had the nerve to insinuate I was going to run out on the bill, when I said we'd return to settle up. Oh hunny, you have got a lot to learn about how to treat paying guests. Next we told them about google maps and another RV app has them in the wrong location and that we got lost, the woman just shrugged when we suggested they try to contact them to correct their address. Sad thing is we were looking forward to staying here. They have nice level gravel sites with plenty of room and it looks pretty quiet and peaceful.

At $18.50 with full hook up it is great for an overnight. No cell service for me but ok Wi-Fi. I was able to get a few over the air TV channels. Close to I-25 but not noisy. You can leave your things out and no one touches it, even leave stuff in the back of your truck! Everyone follows RV park etiquette here because the rules are strictly enforced. And people watch out for each other and report any kind of rule breaking. Like when we did our first RV trip we didn't know you weren't supposed to drive through the site to check it first. And someone reported us. But they didn't throw us out on the spot because we didn't know, it was our first time in a RV. They gave us a break! Very kind people but we follow the rules so we won't get kicked out for sure because it's such a nice place! It's clean, there are walking trails clearly marked. There is a dog area. There are showers and laundry. What else do you need? Oh yes! A small store in the office! They have ice! So go there if you are looking for a place to stay in Elephant Butte and need access to surrounding areas!

Some positives - You are allowed to bring a wood fire ring, the convenience store, the bathrooms with showers are impeccable, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rates are very reasonable and we love to stay in the premium back in sites that include a shaded patio next to your rig. The park is completely gravel and it gets a bit dusty. If you are looking for a nice place while you visit the lake and TorC, then I highly recommend!

I had given this storage business a 5 star review previously. That was all true and then the owners…read moresold the business. The new owners forgot to switch the electricity into their names and the gate to our units was locked for two business days and into the weekend. There was no response on text or through phone calls, no emails sent, no communication. Needs of respect and care went out the door with the old owners leaving. Next, the tenants were called from a restricted number and told to pay with a money order, check, Cash App or Apple Pay and our EFTs and credit cards would not be honored. This was on the 2nd of the month after rent was due. No new contracts were signed and no notice given for these changes. When I was able to reach someone they were extremely rude and said they chose not to care about our lack of access to our units while the electricity was off. There is no skills of empathy or communication. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I can only imagine how it will go downhill from here on out.
