That, in my opinion, is just another of many displays of incompetence by Shelter Management group and managed by Jaime? the owner. I complained a few weeks ago about our perimeter landscaping not being maintained....I walk by every day...the shrubs hadn't been trimmed in WAY OVER A MONTH....some shrubs had 9" of growth...weeds were growing out of shrubs. Shelter Management group is hired by our HOA to ensure our perimeter landscaping is taken care of and members are in compliance with respect to landscaping, parking violations, proper paint scheme compliance, etc. I've seen MANY violations just in my enclave, Village 3 and other violations in my friend's area on Horse road. Shelter Management is supposed to drive through and issue violations and monitor landscaping in each "village" but I'll tell you what...IMHO they are totally incompetent! When I called and talked to the owner of Shelter Management group, Jamie, she asked for photos....I told her the perimeter landscaping hadn't been maintained in over a month and looked like trash! Nothing got done so I contacted Center Cut Landscaping myself.... I finally got a call back 2 days later and the representative from Center Cut Landscaping was AWESOME ...the guy had all the answers and it just so happened that his crew was trimming bushes and trees on the perimeter of my "Village".....so far only 1/2 of my "village " perimeter has been trimmed and maintained.....I requested that CENTER CUT LANDSCAPING not be paid because they didn't do a good job for month of August 2023. I'm filing complaints with BBB and the governing body of property management companies against Shelter Management group....can you believe a company that makes you feel like trash when you expect them to do their job exists? IMHO this company, Shelter Management Group needs to have all their licenses revoked and be shutdown.

It is always reassuring to know that they are only a phone call away and any issue can be addressed effectively, efficiently and expeditiously. We don't really remember how we found the PM Firm but we are very satisfied and glad that we did! We would recommend them to friends, family and anyone on the hunt for proper rental management.

Despite far surpassing the requirements of 3x rent and 650+ credit score, we were denied the ability to apply. The agent used our bank statements as the reason for rejection, but it did not add up at all. There are clearly discriminatory leasing practices happening here. They also ask for sensitive financial information outside of a secure mailbox, so please be wary! All in all, I'm happy I did not get far in the process because it would be a gamble down the line. There are a handful of individuals who have reviewed this business on Google who have had a negative experience. Unfortunately I would not recommend properties managed by this group as they will deny you regardless of meeting requirements. Not sure what the bias was but there was definitely more to the story! This business is lacking in integrity. Liaison handling our lease has been caught lying multiple…read moretimes. No accountability whatsoever from our liaison, and the owner of the company. With their rental agreements you pay a $500 cleaning fee w/move in just to have to re clean it after. Hair from a previous tenant left in the bathroom drawers, dust all over the counters throughout the house, dirty windows, greasy microwave, animal stains in the carpet with stench. And then when you raise concern/voice frustration you get ignored... truly disappointing company. Our liaison told us that our carpets were professionally cleaned before moving in, and that some of the animal stains had not lifted, however, with a household carpet shampooer from Amazon all the stains lifted instantly. They first tried to blame it on the owner as it was his company that he hired, when asking for receipts all of a sudden it's Nevada assets company they work with often, then you get ignored for two weeks then they produce a fake invoice. The name of the company that produced the fake invoice is called care pro services. Not cool. Also our inspection video our liaison noted that it had been freshly painted. It had not been. It had freshly painted patch marks that are not the same color as the original. The lies and being evasive is not an acceptable business model.

Things were understandably chaotic at first, but it all quickly turned out fine. The house is on the older side for Las Vegas, which is great in many ways, but it's had a few items break. We discovered the dishwasher was on its last breath. NAPM happily replace it with an upgraded version. When the AC broke, they immediately brought over a floor unit until it was repaired. The pool pump broke, and someone was here the next day to look at it. When we renewed, they sent someone over to fix several minor things as part of the agreement. We did have one problem with an outside contractor taking too long to make an essential repair. We quickly found an amicable solution. NAPM is always responsive, no matter the issue, and works to keep its renters happy. Many similar companies in town could learn from their operations.
