When the daycare closed before reopening as a preschool, it was actually harder than I expected because we had gotten so used to the level of care we received there. So when Arc en Ciel Preschool opened, it was an easy decision to bring my second daughter. My second child was very quiet and shy, and Miss Maribel was her teacher. We absolutely loved her. She was sweet, patient, and genuinely cared about the children. My daughter felt safe and happy in her class, and that meant everything to us. We ended up moving out of town before she graduated from preschool, but even now, years later, I can honestly say we haven't found the same level of care. We received pictures throughout the day, regular updates, newsletters, and always knew what was going on. It never felt like we were just dropping our child off somewhere. We felt involved. One thing I always appreciated about Charlotte is that she was honest. If something was going great, she would tell you. If there was a concern, she would tell you that too. The communication was always open, and I never felt left in the dark. After so many years with Charlotte caring for my children, I know how much she cares about the kids and families in her program. She has high standards, and she truly wants the best for every child there. Any child would be lucky to attend Arc en Ciel. We found MAWS! I can only speak to our experience and so far, everything is going great! For a 2 year old, he's had some pretty big changes in his life recently. I also want to note that, even though it is a Christian preschool and associated with the LVCC church, and we are non-Christians (but people of faith), I never felt pressure nor excessive Christian messaging. There was always a nice respectful balance of lovely Bible quotes and prayers, while respecting that our family was not Christian. The faith-based preschool is really expressed in their love and honoring of the sacredness of childhood. Which I love! I am grateful that LVCC Preschool was my kids' first experience with school!
