As an educator myself, the teacher student ratio was attractive to me, I came and observed the classrooms and liked what I saw, but the teachers have kept our family overjoyed with the school. I almost settled down with a chain type daycare, but was skeptical. I'm glad I found MDS, Lakeshore. It's a hidden gem. The atmosphere is very different from other day cares I've visited. The classroom is not chaotic, but peaceful. The teachers stay with the kids throughout the day. The curriculum is more structured. My daughter enjoys a variety of Montessori lessons, given to kids at their own pace. The lessons are more like fun games to her. I think she also likes to interact with kids of different ages (18 months - 3 years old in one class). Because of a small class size, all kids get attention from the teachers. They are experienced Montessori teachers and also loving and caring. They made efforts to comfort my daughter during her first weeks. My daughter (and I) have been very happy. My wife felt the same way. Picking your child's first school is a very important step in parenthood. I was nervous and excited for my daughter to start her educational career at Adobe Montessori. So much so that I actually spent the first day of school sitting in my car in the parking lot, just in case the school needed me to pick her up for any reason. She loved the school from the first day, and I was so relieved. This school was the perfect fit for her. We loved the school so much that when the time came for our younger daughter to go to start school, we had her attend the same school. My family trusts the staff there. They are all good people.
