hard-hitting, intense, unique awesome sport. mbdd puts on a great show, and roller derby is better than ever.

Now, two years later, I keep coming back every week to paddle with this club. Our novice crews have a great time competing (and often winning) races across northern California and beyond. By the end of my second year paddling, I was honored to paddle with club members in the 2017 Monterey Bay Crossing, from Santa Cruz to Monterey. Members and guests alike learn the history and heritage of outrigger canoe paddling, get treated to unique views of our gorgeous peninsula and wildlife, and get great exercise. Guest paddlers from other parts of the state and around the world are always welcomed. Recreational paddling (open to the public and geared toward beginners) happens every 1st and 3rd Sunday, 8:00am, at the Monterey Municipal Beach (next to Monterey Bay Kayaks shop).

The surfacing on the courts and the amount of courts they have here is amazing! However I will say,…read morepricing just keeps going up and I don't think it's going to stop, because they know people here in the bay make too much and will pay whatever amount to have nice courts with good people to play here. I personally just buy the day passes here and come during the weekend every so often, and stay all day (since they have in n out privileges) to make my pass worth it. I remember the good old days when day passes were just $25, but now it is $40! A bit too much for me, if you are looking for a free court with good opponents, you can play at Mitchell park in Palo Alto. Also, during rainy days is very busy so be mindful of that if you are coming because you can't play outside for free, because everyone else has the same idea! Other than that, when I do come to the hub, I always get good games in when I play in the higher skill levels

Dipti was able to meet with us in person and also by email to go over all the details. Dipti also provided a timeline which allowed for us to simply enjoy the event. Our event was for approximately 100 people which included players and spectators. For some of the people, it was their first time playing pickleball and for others it was there first time playing at the Hub. All of the details were taken care of, even some that we did not even consider. In the end, we had a great time and everyone continues to talk about the experience and memories that were made that day. Thanks Dipti and the Hub for making this day GREAT!
