I closed on my home in February of 2018. I just recently went to sell that home and was told Monteith "forgot" to include my side lots so those lots were not only apart of my mortgage, but the taxes were unpaid. As a first time home buyer I received SO much spam mail that when I got notification about "please send us a check for unpaid taxes" I really thought it was a scam. Nope. When I went to the Bell County tax office the lady told me the title company didn't include the extra lots, so the whole time on my mortgage I thought I was paying taxes on all of my property. Customer service is not this title company's strong point. Poor communication from start to finish. The agent working my loan assumption did not do the research necessary to complete the closing paperwork properly, and then refused to even admit they had done things incorrectly. Thankfully my lender helped them out. As with any business, there are always good folks. Sarah was humble and willing to learn an uncommon process. Jane, on the other hand, was rigid, rude, and very unfriendly. Think twice about using this title company. read more

Customer service was very unprofessional at the Temple Location. There was an error on my transaction and it was all of a sudden caught after I had signed all my paperwork. I was told that an email would be sent my way to show the difference. The next day, the funds were wired to my account and they deducted the amount that was originally not on my signed documents. How can a company not wire the funds according to what was signed. The person handling my closing was very rude over the phone, before I even made it in person. Sold my house in October. An error was made on a tax form by them. Error was only found after months of calling trying to find a $3,000 check. Now weeks after error was found and still no check. Tax office has sent check to them. DO YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!!! read more
