We had Montego Pools put a pool in our backyard at our new home in Forsyth Georgia in March 2021. They completed the project after a lot of aggravation of the owner not being on site to check work to having new hired who have never leveled dirt for a patio. Tile work was redone twice in certain areas and not cleaned, so we have red clay and grout we must try to clean ourselves. The worst came a few weeks ago , when the company that poured the concrete came banging on our door asking to be paid. We told him that we paid Montego Pools with a pool loan and that checks were sent directly to the owner, Scott Dolan in paid out in several installments from March-June 2021. The man from the concrete company said that he has been trying to contact the owners and that they have not paid them. Flash forward to today 8/16/2021..... we got a certified letter stating that there was a lien placed on our house and that it was removed on 8/12/2021. I feel that this is fraud that Scott Dolan took our money that was paid on time to his company and that he is not paying his vendors. My new home was in jeopardy because he is not paying his bills. We are beyond upset about this. We really like our pool , we have enjoyed it but the aggravation of having a lien put on our home due to his negligence is unacceptable. read more

Scott Dolan of Montego Pools built our 45 foot lap pool and hot tub a year ago this month. We thought we wouldn't be able to have a pool since our backyard was not accessable by large equipment. Scott and his crew found a way, and did a fabulous job. We even had him install an endless pool so that we can actually use it for exercise. I found it fascinating, to watch his highly skilled crew do th. The pool has 18" polished concrete walls and the most beautiful 6" strip of mosaic tiles around the inside top of the walls. The guys from Montego Pools also maintain our pool and it is sparkling clean and ready to use 24-7. Oh and a favorite thing is the light package that we can set to what ever colors we are in the mood for. What more could you want. read more

BEWARE to all potential and previous clients!! Everything started out good, communication was good, UNTIL they received over 120k! Then everything just went downhill. They stopped calling, didn't show up, Huge pile of trash and mess was left and has been there since January. Still have unfinished work that needs to be done and they will not call us back. Very poor workmanship, LOTS of pending issues, even received a letter that a lien was going to be placed on my house for a bill that Montego hadn't paid! Would Not recommend this company or recommend payment upfront. read more

I recommend Montego Pools to anyone looking for a new install, liner repair or complete renovation. I've had my pool 20 years so I was ready for a new look. Patricia has an eye for design & Scott is the technical mastermind. Their communication during the process is what's missing from contractors these days. I got a text when workers were headed to my house, a follow up email once the work was complete and they provide a client portal for a listing of all services, chemicals used & payments. They even text pictures of the work while I was away from the house. They left my yards clean after ever visit so I never had to clean up when I got home. I love the new look and plan to spend time much entertaining this summer. read more

Do NOT use this company! Thought they were a legit company and paid them $275.00 ahead of time to open our pool for the summer. They threw a ton of shock in it and advised us that we needed to drain the pool half way to be able to clear it up. Do not believe they knew what they were doing. Called another company out for a second opinion. The other company cleared our pool up in 5 days. We requested a refund from Montego Pools and they agreed to refund our money. Months later (Scott and his wife) keeps putting us off stating they are out of the office for a couple of weeks and Scott's in meetings, therefore, cannot get back to me, or they are driving every time I try to get a hold of them and cannot respond. Do not believe they are planning to refund our money for services they did not complete. If anything, they wasted a lot of shock playing guess work. Scott Dolan (Montego Pools) was hired to construct a pool, firepit, kitchen and landscaping. Work not complete, caused damage, defective, refused cure Scott Dolan (Montego Pools) was hired Oct 15, 2015 to construct a pool, firepit, kitchen and landscaping. Dolan would not show up to give instruction, review work and completion of subcontracts. He would also stop work for long periods of time and be non responsive to emails, voicemail and text. Written and verbal contracts indicated work would be completed April 2016. Begged and pleaded with Scott to complete the work. Began to notice issues with work that was performed. He was paid $106,940 via cleared checks and much of the work was never completed or completed up to the itemized items he had been paid for. He cleared land and undermind the footers of my home causing structural problems. He brought in several tons of dirt and dug up clay that cause serious issues to my yard and runoff affecting neighbors. Never properly contained the runoff. He built a 13 foot wall for the pool that is not properly constructed (it's a parged wall). He did not use correct rebar nor properly tie the rebar into the structure. He was going to poor the deck/patio for the pool on top of clay and soil that was not compacted and had no crush and run. Last attempt to work with him was in August 2016. A construction consultant was hired to help discuss what is needed to correct and finish the job. Scott refused to finish the job unless we paid him an additional approx $15K. Even though he had not completed the work as agreed to for the $106K and all parties agreed that he had not done work totalling $106K. He also did not pay for materials but had workers show up on site without materials such as stone. We paid for that to get them working only to have it improperly installed. I had Nova Engineering come out to do assess the work and the report highlights serious defects and damages caused by his work. I have pictures that support he dug up my backyard and footer and left it for several months (From November 2015 until August 2016 - when he was terminated). This is theft, bad workmanship and damages/danger to my home. He took our money, did not complete the work, work performed was minimal and improper and caused damage to our home and yard in the process. The extent of my issues and damages are incredible. This man does not supervise his job or his sub contractors. He has been to my house a total of 5 times from Oct 2015-Aug 2016. read more
