When I get bored and I don't fancy running up the mountain, I walk around tiger then swing by this place just to look at the cool stuff that I really don't need. My biggest regret was finding monkey slippers here. Really cute monkeys as well. But being before Christmas I thought that there were too expensive for a store like this. When we went in I discovered that the print came in a variety of colors, a perfect gift for many friends. I purchased 6 of them. When I got home I realized I had not selected one for myself! So I sent a letter to the store from the U.S. along with enough (left over) euros to cover the cost and the shipping, then I crossed my fingers. There is some kitchen gadget or even food that I must have. They have a bag dried apples for a euro. I go nuts for them. The sad thing about here is only when there is an upcoming holiday. Like a month before Christmas, they stock a bunch of Christmas stuff. Great for those that have families and homes to decorate, bad for me cause I hate all that junk. Ba humbug! After leaving and thinking about it, we decided to return for the purchase and she couldn't have been happier. The store's selection is great and the staff is very friendly. Here's where it goes from a "good" experience to a "great" one! A few days later our luggage was stolen just before we left the country. While we mostly lost only clothes and toiletries, the ring my wife purchased was in the bag. Distraught, we mentally wrote it off as a loss. Upon my return to the US, I took it upon myself to do what I could to locate the store and see if there was any way to obtain a replacement. Despite the language, distance, and time differences, Munira sent me photos of rings and took down my descriptions until we identified one by the same artist that was very similar. After we figured out the PayPal process (sorry, not a payment system I usually use!), she shipped it to me in time for me to give it to my wife on our 10th anniversary. The look on my wife's face was not measurable by any star-rating and for this moment of joy I will always be grateful to Munira for all of the time and effort she spent helping to make it happen.

Beautiful beautiful overall and visited at four times in 2-3 days. The prices at Alcaiceria are a lot higher and not nearly as much selection. Just skip it. Also beware of the scams outside the market. There's women offering some tree leaves and "casting love spells" on people when people accept it, then asking for money. They're not aggressive per say but definitely insistent.
