History
Established in 2006.
Established in 2006. I got into this line of work because of my grandparents. When they reached a stage in life where they needed to think about long-term care, my family looked to me — the lawyer — to figure out if we could protect their assets. At the time, I didn't know the answer. I made a pledge to become educated in estate planning and elder law so I could help them and people like them. Now it's all I do, every day.
Over 20 years later, Monteforte Law has grown into one of the most recognized estate planning and elder law firms in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. We've been named a Boston Magazine Top Lawyer five years running, earned over 324 five-star Google reviews, and developed proprietary planning tools — the 20/20 Hindsight Trust™ and Retirement Protection Trust™ — that no other firm offers. We don't do boilerplate. Every plan is built around your specific situation, your family, and your goals.
Meet the Business Owner: Michael M.
Why do I do this? Because every client I help is a reminder of why I got into this work in the first place — my grandparents needed help, and I wasn't ready. I keep my grandfather's ring on display in my office to remind me every day of how and why I got here.
You can read my bio on the website if you care about where I went to school or my credentials — and there are plenty of them, including being licensed in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire, admitted to U.S. Tax Court, VA-accredited, and a three-time published author. But what matters more than any of that is how I treat people. I treat every client the way I'd want someone to treat my own parents. I make the process straightforward, and then I stay with you — long after your documents are signed — because your life will change, and your plan should change with it. I want to be your estate planner for life.
