He knows and has smoked every and anything in his shop and you will get a great deal and great advice and recommendations should you please. I did and that is why I bought a box and several of his house blends on my first visit this past weekend. How many times have you purchased a box from a brick and mortar and actually received a better bargain and proven quality at less than you can buy online...? I had heard from many people about this place and it may not shine as much as it could when the renovations will be complete and he can be better rested. Nevertheless, my Saturday afternoon and evening spent there meeting Mario who works there (and a talented and creative artist and photographer in his own right); a number of visitors (in fact I was introduced to all the visitors and regulars); as well as Rob who does a lot of You Tube videos ("should I smoke this?"); all that and then some made the mile long walk from the NJ Transit Station in the heat with a backpack and cooler pak well worth it. Gotta bring your own ice! He graciously allowed me the exception of relaxing on his covered back patio, ordinarily reserved for members, for a while during the evening with a few beautiful and powerfully intelligent Sistas who joined me. What more can a Brotha say .... Cheers and smoke to your pleasure, why not at Sanj's.

The hospitality was first class, and Sanj sat with us and talked to us for hours! We drove 2 hours to check out his store, and we're so glad that we did. I'm a cigar industry guy, and he's definitely one of the most knowledgeable people that I've ever met. His "house blends" are so very well constructed & tasty...and priced RIGHT. We will Definitely go back, and I suggest you do too!!

Montclair Smoke Shop is hands down my favorite smoke shop in the area. I've been coming here for…read moreabout eight years, and unless I'm out of state, I pretty much don't go anywhere else. The biggest thing that separates this place from other smoke shops is the selection. When I say they have everything, I mean it. Vapes, hookah supplies, glass pieces, pipes, cleaning and storage supplies, rolling papers, wraps, grinders, lighters, rolling trays, backpacks, and just about every little gizmo or gadget you could think of. If you're looking for something smoking related, there's a very good chance they have it. The customer service has also consistently been 10/10. Everyone I've dealt with here has been extremely friendly and helpful. If they have what you're looking for, they'll help you find it. If they don't, they'll tell you when they expect to have it back or recommend an alternative instead of just sending you on your way. Another thing I really appreciate is their hours. If they say they're open until 11:00 PM, they're open until 11:00 PM. They don't randomly shut the doors early, which makes a huge difference when you need something later at night. After eight years of coming here, they've earned my loyalty. Great people, huge selection, dependable hours, and consistently great service. Absolutely my go to smoke shop in Montclair.

He was also very good about not trying to push anything on me that was very pricy - I told him I didn't have a set budget but gave him the price range I wanted to stay in. After reading reviews about how expensive the place was I was a little hesitant to tell him the range but he immediately started pulling out tons of pieces in that range and even below it. The piece I picked was a little more than I originally was going to pay, and he explained that was because it changed colors when you smoked it. He then told me that if I liked it he didn't have a problem selling it to me for the price of the others I was looking at. I was surprised that he was so willing to bargain and drop the price for me, and he explained that when people come in and behave respectfully and normally he has no issue being understanding and fair in return. I would ignore all those reviews about being ripped off or overcharged. From my experience, if you don't come in and act like a frat bro you will be treated fairly and leave happy.

I've never been to this Total Wine before, and it honestly felt like heaven for anyone who enjoys a good drink. Anything you want, they have it. I wandered around for a bit (the selection is that good) and finally asked for assistance. The associate was super helpful and directed me right to it. Checkout was quick and easy, and I learned they have a rewards program you can sign up for using your phone number. This location is conveniently tucked inside the Essex Green Shopping Plaza, right across from ShopRite. Whether you're looking for wine, rum, or anything in between, I'm pretty sure they have it here.

A few weeks ago, I had an absolutely ridiculous interaction with the employee with the purple braids. I said nothing because I figured, alright, maybe she woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Everybody gets one bad day. Then I came back today and watched her go at it with an Uber driver. So congratulations -- now we can officially retire the "bad day" excuse. This is apparently just how she behaves. My own experience was almost comedy. I was trying to ask her a simple question while she was completely focused on her phone. She had her back turned, so naturally I walked over to get her attention. Suddenly I get: "DON'T APPROACH ME FROM BEHIND." Excuse me? Lady, this is a STORE. I'm a customer. I'm trying to ask you a question, not sneak into Fort Knox. Maybe put the phone down for thirty seconds, look around, and realize you're actually at work. Today was even better. Another argument, this time with an Uber driver, and then afterward she's making comments to another employee like she just won some championship in bad customer service. At this point, management needs to wake up. Because when the same employee keeps having confrontations with customers and delivery drivers, particularly Latino people from what I have personally witnessed, somebody eventually is going to start asking much more serious questions about why there seems to be a pattern. I'm not claiming to know what is going through her head. I don't need to. I'm reviewing what I can actually SEE. And what I see is an employee who seems way too comfortable being disrespectful to people while representing somebody else's business. Here's some free New Jersey business advice: If every other customer is supposedly the problem, eventually maybe the customer isn't the problem. One confrontation? Maybe a misunderstanding. Two? Interesting. Keep watching the same behavior happen over and over? Now management owns the problem too, because they know about it and continue allowing it. This isn't a nightclub bouncer position. Nobody came here to fight with an employee. People are trying to shop, pick up deliveries, ask questions, and leave. Put the phone away. Drop the attitude. Do the job. And management: handle your employee before she turns a basic customer-service problem into something your corporate office has to explain later.
