AVOID. This place has gone way downhill since it was acquired by NJIN. The technician was OK but the rest of the experience is sub par. I used to come here back when it was Montclair Radiology and the location is super convenient for me, but this is the last time I'll be coming here after repeated poor experiences. First, online scheduling. I must have uploaded my information 6 times -- they keep asking you to upload your personal documents repeatedly. Arrived there 15 mins ahead of appointment time as requested. Had to register once, they took my personal identification from me, then got called to a desk and STILL had to fill out additional paperwork. No one communicates with you about what's happening -- other patients waiting explained to me, oh, they're taking your ID and then you'll be called up to the desk. Waited 45 mins. after my appointment, so total of an hour from their requested arrival time. This was an appointment early in the morning too. The waiting room was already full of people with few seats by time I was called. Routine mammogram, was fine for what it was. In and out in 10 minutes. The whole process of making you wait foreever, making you give documents repeatedly, and poor communication throughout makes you feel like livestock, not a human. Nevermind them charging you extra for AI-aided exams. It's a personnel savings for them, but because insurance companies don't cover AI exam reading yet, they pass along the cost to the customer. Poor move and no, did not opt for this. Told me results would be posted to my portal in 24-48 hours. Going on day 5 here and no results yet. Tried calling and you cannot reach a human. They make you leave a message to get a call back. Records aren't reflected on my doctor's portal either so I have no way to learn about my results. Lovely way to add stress to my week. I live so close to this location, in fact, that I know they are not good neighbors to the people who live in surrounding properties in a residential neighborhood. Their employees have nowhere to park so they park too close to driveways which creates blindspots pulling into traffic. They extended their hours much later than the former owners and there are delivery trucks, landscaping, snow removal people who literally show up with loud trucks in the middle of the night. Have had several similar experiences in the past with waits, not being able to reach anyone over the phone, etc. Continued to come for the convenience of the location, but never, ever, ever again will I return. read more

Impossible to schedule imaging for myself and a family member on the same day. The "system" does not allow it. Customer service reps do not speak English well and require one to speak incredibly slowly. The entire process is backwards and time consuming. The second rep couldn't actually complete the scheduling and transferred me to a voice mail inbox. Infuriating!! read more

Montclair Radiology is the best, hands down!!! They are flexible and always consider how to accommodate patients and make their lives easier. Their hours are longer suitable for those who can only go after or before work. Their staff holds a high level of professionalism. Horrible service and very rude front desk associate. My mom needed to get a scan and as soon as he saw our referral and paperwork he had a nasty attitude and told her "nope this is all wrong we can't treat you" . He does not know how his own job works after confirming with the supervisor and NJ Imaging he was wrong and the paperwork was correct to treat my mom. I made her aware that she shouldn't be divulging medical information because everyone in the lobby can hear. She was unaware and didn't care & made no apology & gave some explanation about future renovations. Apparently she was not educated with HIPAA laws. Stay far away from this place unless you want to get COVID-19 from visiting. I called and was told all about the strict COVID protocols including that I could wait in my car given I'm older and high risk due to multiple serious conditions. Even made what I was told was the first appointment of the day avoid people. They lied and told me they allowed no one in a waiting area as well. Once we got there we waited 45 minutes past my "first appointment" time and many people were in and out. When they finally called me in, multiple people were crammed in the waiting area and several had no masks on at all. Horrifying and awful that they would put patients' lives at risk like this. Why have people wait in the car at all if you have a packed waiting room? The staff was incredibly rude and could have cared less. One even basically laughed when I expressed concern and asked "what exactly does high risk mean?" with a major attitude as if I was crazy. Technicians are great - doctors are knowledgeable. However it seems that if you don't have an early morning appointment you can spend a huge amount of time in the waiting room. Recently went for a mammogram. I had a 1:30 appointment and was told to arrive at 1:15. I got there on time and did not get called until 2:25. A mammogram typically takes about 10 minutes, not sure how they could get so far behind by noon. I will try another branch next time. read more

I am very grateful to the staff at Montclair Radiology. Both my husband and I had to make trips here over the last year and this review is long overdue. First, I am in debt to the people here for potentially saving my husband's life. Sounds dramatic but it is the truth. We had just come back from a very long flight and he was experiencing leg pain. When it didn't go away after a day, I urged him to see our GP, who promptly made an emergency appointment with Montclair Radiology. They squeezed him in and were able to diagnose him with DVT. They were courteous, understanding and professional. As for me, I had to make multiple trips for a couple of different health issues. One of the issues was a problematic mammogram (I am fine) and required multiple visits. The business office worked with my insurance company by making the calls directly to them to ensure that 1) my visit would be completely covered and 2) that I would be seen promptly. The business office and front desk were fantastic during a stressful experience. Lastly, the front desk made sure that I had a copy of my records upon my request so that I could take them to my new doctor. The facility is very clean with a pleasant waiting room. It has free parking in their lot, which isn't always easy to find in Montclair. The staff is generally efficient and kind. read more

Please beware of this facility! My mother has been going for many years back when it was Montclair Radiology. In 2022 the radiologist said my mom had a cyst and to come back in a year. In 2023 she was told the cyst doubled and to come back in 6 months. I did not like the sound of things so I took my mother to a breast surgeon and she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. NJIN did not refer her to a breast surgeon nor did they biopsy my moms' cyst. PLEASE read your reports and question everything. BE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE! read more

They tell you to come 15 minutes early and then take you 20 minutes late. Rude and when you see staff on their personal phone. then when you ask the status they say I don't know just got here. Horrible and disrespectful of patients time. Go somewhere else. Also they overbill and when you show them takes 6 months to get refund. Billing is not accurate. read more

UPDATE: Not changing my star rating because the experience was what it was, but I left a message for the office manager when we got home from that debacle and she returned my call right away and couldn't have been nicer. Apparently we slipped through the cracks somehow and this is not their normal standard of operation. She tried to get us an earlier appointment than the one we had rescheduled with them for a week later, but in the meantime I had managed to get my son into another facility the next day. Went to Mtc Radiology for tests. Was given wrong Instructions for tests. Tech Jenny S was rude and argued with me my entire visit. Supervisor Cindy was not helpful when I addressed all of the problems I was having with her tech Jenny. Will never go back there ever & would not recommend this facility to anyone. read more

I should have wrote this review last year but finally got around to doing it now. Unfornuately, I was not happy with the services I received last year at the Caldwell office and Nutley office where I received both a CT scan and biopsy. The staff was not really great, but the Radiololgist was just horrible! After the report came back positive, the Radiololgist (Dr. K) at the Caldwell office informed me just a few days before Christmas that the results showed that I had Stage 1 cancer, and for me to wait until after the holidays to find a surgeon to remove the mass. I was devastated. I asked her that if I had to wait to make an appointment, then why couldn't she give me the bad news after the holiday, since I couldn't do anything about it at the moment. She informed me that she was not going to be in the office for the next few days and was just doing her job. Needless to say, it ruined my holiday. I hope that I never ever have to go back to those offices or see Dr. K again!!! read more

This was the best imaging experience I have ever had. Scheduling was super easy and the Covid protocols for in person appointments was rationale, well run and worked flawlessly. When I was let in I was greeted by both ladies at the desk and asked to fill out a few things. When they realized that my doctor did not fax over the prescription they went into action and worked to get it taken care of in less than 15 minutes. Unheard of in the industry. The imaging tech was incredible! She asked why (medically) I was having the test, what the test was, how it was going to be conducted and how the results were going to be sent to my doctor. She was the most caring and professional medical person I have seen in decades. When I left the ladies in the front answered other questions I had, when my doctor would get the results and asked how I was doing. By far the best experience I have had in a very, very long time. read more

My Routine Mammogram was done on 04/14/22 at Montclair Radiology Park St . Several days later, I received a letter from MR stating "Your breast imaging shows a finding that requires further evaluation. Radiologist recommends that you return for additional imaging. This is sometimes necessary to obtain a more accurate diagnosis. Please call to schedule." I call to schedule and was told that "only a manager can schedule a callback." So I waited for the manager to return my call for an appointment. Long story short: The soonest a "callback Mammogram" appointment was available was for May 10. I made the appointment BUT WTF?? Almost a month to wait? They send a big red flag and then say, "sorry, but our "callback" appointments are very busy ". I called Memorial Sloan Kettering who has a Bergen County location. They said a month wait time to do additional "callback"mammogram views is inexcusable. "Memorial Sloan Kettering "callback" appointments are scheduled in the same week as the original mammogram date." I will never go to Montclair Radiology for a mammogram again.. read more

Waited over 1 hour in my car (along with about 10 other cars). Walked in and waiting area was full of people as well. "Oh, sorry, we are busy, just a little while longer" I had an appointment for an ultrasound of my pelvis...HAD TO HAVE A FULL BLADDER FOR THIS... Another woman was crying in the waiting area because she too had a full bladder and was in pain waiting. Perhaps a better scheduling system or even a text/call to advise you are backed up and offer a reschedule??? Went today for a scheduled appointment at 930 am. Seems that beginning today Montclair Radiology became part of the NJ Imaging Network and as a result they were undergoing a computer system transition. The waiting room was backed up and it was simply chaos. Many elderly people were waiting that scheduled car services for transportation and no consideration was given to the impact of the transition on clients. I left before any services were rendered and will not be using this company again. I do not blame the receptionists and technicians that were trying their best but management - how do you schedule so many clients while undergoing this transition? I had a very bad experience because I feel like the people are careless. I waited for 1.5 hours, asked 3 times for help and by the 4th time I was told they can not do the test there. The communication is very bad and to keep a patient waiting for that long for no reason is unacceptable. 30 people cane and went after I was there. Took my mom for a mammogram around 11:45 the receptionist kept on lazily assuring us that the cd of her previous records that was specifically requested was "not necessary" and "they had it" of course they did and so I immediately gave them back the cd and correct this error. It took until almost 2pm for this to be done. However the staff was prompt in contacting me and courteous it was just the receptionist. read more

This branch in Jersey City is the WORST!! I made an appointment about 2 weeks before the actual date. Montclair Radiology harassed me pretty much every day about paperwork and to confirm if I was going to keep my appointment. I definitely confirmed but still received text messages reminders. My first time in Jersey City and it was pouring down raining and didn't realize there's no type of parking. So I parked a couple of blocks away and walked in this storm. Finally I made it in and the front desk receptionist was polite & pleasant she logged me in and gave me directions to proceed to the second floor. I get there and again I have to re-registered and confirm my appointment. First they made a mistake on what I was requesting, I clarified what I was there for. Then the woman proceeded to tell me the radiologist left. I'm thinking ok, are they returning soon? I was told no. I stated you can text me pretty much every day about me keeping my appointment but you couldn't call/text me to reschedule. She didn't apologize or give any information/reasoning why no one contacted me. I was so annoyed with them and their attitude. 1. Worst customer service: waiting for almost 2h being told that the technicians are being serving the customers ahead of me! When I argued that customers just arrived are going ahead of me they just had me take the radiology service I was there for and never apologized! 2. Worst quality of radiology: I've done a ultrasound for kidney stones and they told me I had none!!!!! I was battling with kidney stones for years and my 2 years ago showed X-Rays of many stones. After a SCAN at the same facility they "discovered" the stones (8 and 9 mm!) for which I had lithotripsy later that year! AVOID IT IF YOU CAN! read more

We, for my spouse, Swati K Patel, visited for Mamo as advised by my Physician on last Dec 12, having appointment time 11-30 at Nutley. We reached there by 11.20 and informed the Desk accodingly. We are infromed to sit on waiting bench and often asked desk for our turn till 12.30 noon. Desk call us 12.40 to fill the necessary forms and pay immediately $ 650. I inquired whether you have delayed our scheduled appointment due to this payment? Desk Lady replied us. I said we have no Card to this payment and also informed that we are your customer since Year 2009 and never delayed your payment in past eventhough they are not ready to accept my reply and say you pay me $ 300. I also requested whatever amount insurance will ask to pay you(after Insurance share). I promised to give HSA Card number. Everything good except your Desk office staff who acting like Debt Collector without caring for Insurance. On giving my HSA card details, your Desk Debt Collection Agency took out from my Card $ 307.97 and when I see my Aetna Insurance approved Claim, we have to pay Montclair only $ 145. You charged me more, what wonderful Lab? Please refund my excess amount immediately otherwise, I report to insurance regarding all this matter. I went here for a simple x-ray. I was able to make an appointment the same day. I got there, filled out the paperwork, and only waited for 5-10 minutes. My x-ray took 5 minutes at most and everyone there was very nice and friendly. The only reason I took off one star is that they couldn't tell me how much I would have to pay for the x-ray. They said they would have to call my insurance provider and then send me the bill, which is unusual in my experience. Not sure, maybe it's that way for all radiology places. read more

This place has a great vibe. The staff are super friendly and extremely professional. I had an 8 am appointment. What I like was the waiting area was slightly dim. This was great at such an early hour in a Saturday. The changing room had a key lock to it but they did not give me the key. I found this odd. How am I to feel my stuff us secure if someone else has the key. The technician met me with no smile at all. That was a turn off. She had a slavic accent. Maybe that 6us her culture back home. She needs to learn to be more pleasant as to put the patient at ease. She did my procedure quick enough and I left to redress. The place seems pretty modern. Good front desk staff, the great smell of and variety of coffee awaits you as well. They had TV and plenty of magazines for your wait. I would return. read more

Professional hidden little spot located in New Jersey. They were right on time with everything. Super clean facility with state of the art equipment. Was serviced by an older gentleman and Air Force veteran who goes by the name "JD." He made sure to check in with me while I was having each knee scanned; a process that can prove tedious. Parking is located at the back of the building. They also have a really nice little waiting area, accompanied with a Kurig machine. read more

Call some other tech to come in and take a look now their talking to each other WHISPERING . They'll take their pictures you clean yourself up , they'll lead you to this small ass changing hut then their like ok bye ! Never again. Not much dialogue with the patient at all and not really friendly I had to keep trying to talk to HER . Please I'm excited and happy about my pregnancy I want a tech who loves people and TALKS at least some to the patient! I'm going back to my old radiology place on Bloomfield ave in Montclair . I used them for my first child and they were amazing. Never again with this factory place. read more

This is about the Jersey City facility located at 550 Summit Avenue. Pros: - Technicians seemed competent and behaved professionally - Facilities were clean - The waiting area on the 2nd floor, while tight has a restroom, water bottles and a coffee machine Cons: - They really mess up the scheduling, which is a pity because it is such an easy fix. I reached at 9.50 for a 10am appointment and there were 6 others waiting with roughly the same appointment time. Then between 10 and 11.30 no one else came in. I had to wait for 90 minutes to be called in. Clearly, had they scheduled patients in 15-20 minute intervals, it would have been much more efficient, rather than calling everyone at once - Almost every staff member who walked in chatted for a while with the front desk person at level 2 of the Jersey City office about personal matters, showing photos on the phone etc., while many patients were waiting.That came across as very unprofessional. read more

My boyfriend was there at the park street office on Monday 11/23 he called and got Michelle on the phone he advised her he had an appointment at 8:30am she advised him the appointment was scheduled for 11/30.He advised her he took off from work and he was ready to leave she said let me see what I can do she was able to fit him for 30 minutes he was willing to wait ...I like written things about good people that take the time to listen to people Michelle could have turn him away but she didn't my boyfriend Michael .R was very thankful...I wrote something about a Michelle myself it sounds like the caring person we will recommend to all are family and friends to go to the Park street office...... read more

I went for a mammogram and Jasmine was AMAZING! She was friendly, attentive and explained every single thing about the process! I received a call for a follow up and I requested her and once again she was wonderful, attentive and caring! Went for an ultrasound and Whitney was the exact same as Jasmine! Everything by these two woman was explained step by step and I was not as nervous waiting for next steps, thankfully all was good and I was clear!
