I strongly discourage anyone from shopping at the Montblanc boutique on Peel Street.
My mother and sister purchased a belt and card holder as graduation gifts for me and were told that the items could be returned within 30 days. They were not provided with a gift receipt.
I later went to the boutique to have the belt adjusted. The belt was cut incorrectly in-store by the boutique's owner/operator, Yohan Sauves. When I returned to request a reasonable solution, such as correcting, replacing, exchanging, or refunding the belt, Yohan was aggressive, defensive, and completely unwilling to help.
He came out without introducing himself, demanded to know what I wanted, and refused to offer any meaningful resolution for a mistake made by the boutique owner himself.
My mother and I later attempted to return the card holder, which was unused, undamaged, and brought back within approximately one week of purchase. Despite the 30-day return policy that had been represented at the time of purchase, the return was refused.
Even worse, Yohan called us "scammers" for attempting to return an unused item. This was insulting, inappropriate, and completely unacceptable behaviour from a store owner. He told us that if someone had purchased an item and walked out the store he would not allow them to return that item.
The issue was only resolved once escalated to corporate office, with proof including photos and recordings of the owners conduct.
This is not the level of professionalism or customer service anyone should expect from a luxury brand. Based on the owner's conduct and refusal to resolve a straightforward issue, I would not trust this boutique with another purchase and strongly recommend shopping elsewhere read more
