When we arrived, we had to wait almost 5 minutes. For the gal that was playing hostess, who was also playing bartender to finish up and order and take it to their table. We perused the menu and our waitress was accommodating while we ask questions and perused. When we ordered took over fifteen minutes to get our order, but one of us did order the ribs, so that could be the reason. Ribs were great. Chicken Sandwich OK. Antojito's were disappointing. Too much cheese (if you can believe that!) which totally overpowered the bites, and the sour cream did nothing to calm it. I was glad that my friend had the ribs, which came with 4 different dipping sauces and I found one I liked. Which, of course, was not one of the ones they have for sale. read more

We got here around 5 on a Saturday evening. Basically my husband thought it looked like a Chili's-type of restaurant where we had options rather than strictly one type of food. We were definitely pleasantly surprised by what we found. (Especially after reading some of the reviews on here!) We were seated quickly, our drinks were brought out in a timely manner, and I'm glad we didn't order any appetizers because the entrees were served much faster than I expected. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and my husband got a smokehouse wrap with poutine. I'd never had poutine before and this place knocked it out of the park. Our server was friendly and everything was accurate. She checked in a couple times to make sure everything was good but otherwise left us to enjoy our meal. Would 100% recommend this location and if we get an opportunity, we will be back. read more

They have opened indoor and patio seating. We have noticed cleaning/sanitizing efforts as well. There is a wonderful view of the river from patio. We enjoyed our dinner with a lovely view of sunset. We ordered Kapow Shrimp and Honkin Beef. Quality and taste was about average, 3.5 stars. The service is a bit slow, but not that bad. Lights at the patio were pretty dim, also insects and mosquitoes bugged a lot to enjoy the nice ambience. read more

Ordering beer became a joke. They were out of everything but Stella and and Budd. Sorry. No Rickards. No Canadian. None of the other four listed either. So I asked for a long island tea. Sorry can't make that either. The owner didn't put in an order. So I had water and ordered mild wings that came extra hot from a waiter who never came back. Bartender gave us a bill ( he wasn't very busy for obvious reasons) and bypassed the question on the machine asking if we would recommend the restaurant. No wonder The beautiful view is not worth it. Where to start....due to COVID the wife and I haven't gone out much .. lemme just say I'm not in a rush to go anywhere again... Montana's pfft...I'm about to leave this place hungry...the food was lower than standard. My dog might eat it but she will eat her own poo.... The baked potatoes had barely anything in them to call them loaded as you can see in the pic .. the steak I ordered was perfect so that's the one star review perfect medium. But the fries were so over cooked that the insides were air and hard as rocks ... The tater was heated in a microwave ... This bill came to 73 bucks and well not worth 30... Everything was cold except the lava beans that come with the steak....not lava but it was pretty hot heat wise I used it to dip my fries so they could at least be hot.... Let me just say save your money! Don't bother! Goto the one in Sudbury it's amazing ... I will say our server was super cool she told us about the CAA discount and the scene card thing .. very cool! read more

Tried this location when they first opened a few years ago. When on travels we always had great meals and service from every Montana, until this location. Cold food, lipstick on my water glass, food did not compare to other Montanas ever. Tried them again today to give them a second chance hoping they had improved with experience. Could not be more disappointed. Ordered an appetizer that arrived after the main course was served. Ribs which are a famous staple of Montanas were cold, overcoo and hard from being dri out. Baked potato tasted like a warmed up leftover, it too was hard. Corn bread was dried out. $78 meal for two. Many other places to choose from. read more

I went there a few times randomly threw out the year. Everytime never a wednesday. In the menu specail it said all yoy can eat ribs. Mmmmm. So i finally made it on a wednesday. No wait time to be seated. The smell of the bbq. And of course the quiet crowd til it picks up. Then the fun begins it was like home. The waitor take my order . Someone mentions Grace. The prayer starts and finishes. And just like that food served to the table beans and cornbread first take with that really smokey bold house speacail. And fall off the bone delicious in fact 10 mins between rounds and believe me a whopping 4 rounds plus i had a half to go home with. The slowest service I have ever experienced. If you are looking for a job as a waiter/waitress, this is the place, they NEED more staff. This Montana's is completely understaffed to the point where we had to hustle the staff multiple times, yet it still took 15 minutes to get our drinks in for our party. It was until the bar staff has noticed this problem that the person whom was supposed to work the bar personally came to assistance. The one star in this review is the kind bartender who was on her second shift here. It was a hot day today and we came at around 8pm. They gave us a table (for four) and then no one came to take our order for 20 minutes. During this time, and throughout the rest of our dinner, the ceiling fan above us was broken, so we could only cook in the heat. Then, the bartender who saw us sitting there for so long, went out of her way and her duty to come take our orders and serve us our drinks. Thank you so much to that hardworking lady. She got us our drinks extremely fast. However, the food was out of her control, and took over 40-50 minutes to fully arrive. Average place with an amazing bartender. read more

The ONLY drawback is the pricing. For two burgers, 3 drinks, some wings and fries, $80 is kinda not cheap. I could have went across the river to Applebee's and spent less! I've been to Montana's all over the states and Canada. This Montana's does not have the look or feel. I ordered the medium sized ribs (6 I think); I think chef "mike" heated them up. My fries must have been sitting in the basket for 30 minutes. I sent the fries back (received fresh ones no issue). There was approximately 10 flies buzzing around ya while trying to eat. The fact that I can't leave less than one star is irritating to no end! So now not only do I have to give them one star but I also had to give them my hard earned money for frozen dinner quality food. Everything was cooked properly and was warm enough but that's what I get for ordering a steak from a owner who ran a Chinese food place !! Your inexperience is very evident! Great views of the river. However the building is run down. Washrooms were dirty and decrepit. Standard roadhouse fare. Had to send back 3 of our 5 meals for errors in the orders (chefs fault not servers fault however the expo should have caught them). Steaks were poor cuts of meat and all were incorrectly cooked. Don't think I'll be back. Certainly not up to the standards I've had at other Montana's. read more

The food was mediocre. The service was fine. But the worst thing was that there were bugs all over the window sill beside us. Ants and shad flies. Most were dead on the window sill but they kept flying over us when we were eating. Then one hit my partner in the face then dropped into his food. We left immediately after. It was so gross and just awful. Please fix that if you are going to sit people by the windows. Or just have customers at all. read more

I would put zero stars if I could! Do not waste your time coming here. We waited way to long (past 45 minutes) for our food and not everyone received there food (one person). By the time we had all finished our food the one person hadn't even received there's. We then asked our waitress why it's been so long and she then responded "they dropped it on the floor. They could have served you that one but we decided to make you a new one" At least 10 minutes have passed and he had still not received any of his food so we asked for a manager and he came and was very condescending and talk down to us as if we were below him and made excuses, he did offer to give us some sort of discount that he did not describe. The bill then came back and he gave us 20% off just his meal. We were fine with it because we just wanted to get out of there as fast as we could. He then came back and took the bill back and said he made a mistake. When the bill came back he had added 34$ more onto our bill. HE TOOK OFF THE DISCOUNT OF THE BURGER AND ADDED A APPETIZER WE HAD NOT PURCHASED TO THE MEAL.!! He then kept trying to "explain" to us how that occurred and realized he had made the mistake. We went August 5, for a family member's birthday. Although our server was obviously new (otherwise she was just clueless), she should know to take our food order after bringing our drinks, or at least ask if we are ready to order, instead she started cleaning another table near by, I had to ask her to take our order. My salad was the most disgusting one I have ever had at a restaurant. I would be embarrassed to serve that! It looked like it was made two days earlier and with rotting lettuce. My husband's steak (ribeye I think) was extremely tough, even difficult to cut with the steak knife. We also waited a long time for our food.
