It is what it is - a family run hotel in a very small town. I stayed in 204 and the fan in the…read morebathroom ran constantly. I mentioned it to the clerk when checking out and another employee piped up to add that she had reported the issue to "Melissa" 2 weeks previously. The room had a decent size fridge, a stove, microwave, and a dishwasher but I only used the fridge. Be aware that because of the appliances, there is a lot of ambient light - bring your eye shade to sleep if you like it dark. I found the bed to be comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was good and there was plenty of hot water. I didn't visit the pool or spa, so can't comment on those. There are 8 or 9 selections for the complementary breakfast. The breakfast biscuit was quite good if you like sausage and it had a real egg. There's a small store in the lobby with some hand made items, kitchen supplies, and some snacks.

Had to switch rooms twice from either heat or ac not working, sinks not working, plumbing backing up. My door didn't latch and couldn't lock. They advertise a free breakfast but then denied it because I was staying longer than a week. I had to replace my own bulbs. The shower was fixed with duct tap for gods sake. This is seriously a dump. To top it off the customer service is horrendous. I was kicked out of the lobby for being there too long even though I was buying coffee and pie. Never mind the fact the lobby is one of the few places that the shoddy internet they have actually stays connected. Seriously this place does not deserve your business. Just no.

The staff are rude and WILL NOT cooperate with the customers! This motel is one of the worst I have ever been to and as of today I will never have to stay at this nasty place again. We have had a 8 hr notes telling us we did not have a place to stay for the night when were told the date without a room was 4 days later. We had everything we travel with in this room and working 7 12s. Not to mention we paid this week on Wednesday and we got a camper so we asked for refund for the next THREE nights we paid for and guess what the rude obnoxious manger told us? We would only get $37.00 back!!! That's all and that's not even the icing on the cake yet y'all! She hung up on me twice after I was trying to explain to her that it wasn't correct and what not. Then my fiancé called and she was saying to him well "your fiancé isn't a very nice lady" he said well I always told her don't TAKE ANY SHIT FROM MANGERS AT HOTELS!!!! DONT STAY HERE!!!!!! Here...in the TINY, TINY town of Baker, Montana...you'll find the Sagebrush Inn. For myself, this was a good stopping point on my journey towards Devils Tower NM. I had just spent a fun filled day exploring Theodore Roosevelt NP and after driving a simple 79 miles here to Baker, Montana....I decided to spend the evening. I knew waking up the next morning I'd have about 150 miles remaining on my drive to Devils Tower. Though during my research I understood Devils Tower was situated in the middle of nowhere so staying at the Sagebrush Inn for the night was a fine resting stop. I will say...the Sagebrush Inn was sort of on the "rundown" side, but it was more than suffice for resting my head. The overhead sign could use a remodel, but I'm just picking at things some others may take issue with. Still, kind of interesting how a town like Baker, Montana....so small...they have 1 main street, 1 traffic light, a gas station, a restaurant or two and not much more...I genuinely enjoyed being there. There was something about such a minuscule town on the eastern border of North Dakota and Montana that I pleasantly respected. I think the fact that I was so far away from my hometown in Florida and what seemed like the normal reality of bustling towns virtually everywhere you go that lent to an appreciation for being in such an unknown part of the country. Here I am....writing only the 2nd review about this motel and I'll be the 1st to post a few pictures. So I guess my review about the Sagebrush Inn, although just okay, will hopefully get some more attention for any of the hardcore travelers out there like myself to take the time to consider spending the evening here. Once I checked in, my room was in fine condition. Simple...couldn't ask for more. The lady who checked me in mentioned she had visited Devils Tower NM plenty of times and that I'd truly admire it. She also recommended 2 places around the corner from the motel on the main street where I could eat dinner. I chose Heiser's...a bar/restaurant which offers typical American food like chicken, burgers, pizzas and all sorts of appetizers. After dinner I came back to the Sagebrush Inn and there was a chair positioned right outside my room where I sat down and watched the sunset looking out onto the street. It was by no means a pretty or picturesque view, but it helped me put into perspective just how far I had traveled to be in this portion of the United States and how probably no one out there's even heard of Baker, Montana. Still...it's times like these that continues to motivate me to keep on running, keep on dreaming and keep seeing just how extraordinary the world really is.

We will never stay there again. Too expensive for shape of room.

We've never been to Bowman, ND as this was my first trip to North Dakota. My husband then reserved the room under his name directly through Bowman Lodges website. For some reason, his card declined, so he called the property and Laura confirmed our reservation and said we could just pay upon arrival. A few minutes later, someone ran our card again and it went through. 4 minutes after that, Laura called and told my husband that he's also on the "do not rent to list" My husband has also never been to North Dakota. The fact that they charged us only to inform us a few minutes later they were refusing to rent us a room, smells like fraud to me. After we got to town, my husband went inside the hotel to ask for his money back and the front desk clerk called the police on him! Not sure what shenanigans this place is up to, but, probably best to watch for fraudulent charges from here.

Now believe me, I look forward to the next time I have the opportunity to ring the bell at the Guest House front desk and sign on the dotted line. The issue is that I have stayed in a LOT of hotels, and the Guest House is not the Ritz-Carlton, nor anything like it. So, three stars = A-OK. So if you need to stay overnight in Carter County, call the Guest House right away. You won't find better for miles.
