Terrible food, don't bother. Wilted yellow salads, burnt bread and only a sliver of lemon for my Corona.

But inside it has always been a fantastic place to shop with fresh fruit and vegetables, large deli display counters including a separate sections on either side devoted to seafood and an excellent gourmet continental deli. They have recently added an organic fruit and veg section between the standard fruit and veg area plus the nuts and bolts area. The atmosphere is quite relaxing for a supermarket as the aisles are wide, the ceiling is high with not a hint of claustrophobia, and the nice big picture windows across the front allows shoppers and staff a view. The one and only complaint I have is the prices are not cheap and there is a definite lack of specials, the forest of trees I receive stashed in my letter box everyday, is frequently devoid of Foodland Pasadena junk mail advertising. And....I wish they had a petrol saver card despite it being a contrived scenario, as I end up going elsewhere to spend $30 just to get my 4cents worth of cheaper petrol! Also, it is the only supermarket in South Australia which has a deli cafe! A novel and great concept for such a place! Well done. All in all, great supermarket and great friendly staff.

My favourite picks would have to be the Pollo, Gourmet Vege, Marinara and Melenzena. If you enjoy fresh and good ingredients on your pizza, come here! Like any pizza outlets, this one serves up a good lasagna and pasta dishes and most Mums will gladly stamp their seal of approval here. The do desserts and they deliver, plus cater for any occasions. It gets busy during Friday evening's and the weekends, so best to get in early and enjoy this tantalising wood-fired pizza.

As a result Papa Mia's fairs quite well. I'm not sure that Donatello, Leonardo, Raphael and Michael Angelo would rank the pizza here it in their top ten of all time or anything, however perhaps if it were their local they would opt for this place every now and then. So much better than your average pizza hut, and I say wood oven pizzas for the win. Waiting for pizza here can be a little tiresome, but then again waiting for any pizza is almost always tiresome. I guess it's not an entirely bad thing if you need to wait in a line. If others are ordering it too, then well maybe it is actually a good sign. I have to conclude in saying that this is probably my first option for take away pizza when required. It probably helps that I live near by, yet I am always willing to be proven otherwise.

The cafe channels a hipster vibe with mismatched furniture and an eclectic use of items as display cases, but the owners have really maximised the space here whilst allowing the patrons to have enough breathing room. Staff are friendly in store and always up for a chat and happy to give you their recommendations on food or tea blend options. The Menu has a good range of breakfast and light lunch options and vegetarians will find themselves relatively well looked after. I'm a big fan of their pancakes (which are really pikelets) as they are very generous on the portion sizes as well as topping options. The coffee here is a wee bit bitter for my own liking but their lattes are crazy creamy. The Litttle Leaf also mixes their own tea blends you can buy in store, whilst I'm not a tea drinker myself, friends have assured me it is top notch. The Leaf 'n' Bean also puts on regular events with live music, exhibitions and dessert nights on their cards. Worth the trip up the hill, check out their Facebook page to see what is happening instore.

Homemade cakes, muffins and slices (a large range of those being gluten free) taste like nanna has baked them herself. We tried the "Lemon Situation," GF Orange and Almond Cake and GF Apple and Rhubarb Crumble muffin thing and were all impressed and received our sweet quota for the week. The Iced Coffees were very creamy and rich with vanilla ice cream - made with real coffee but perhaps a tad too sweet for me. The atmosphere of this cafe is comfortable with a range of seating options from couches to large share tables and cushioned seats in the corner. They also have a lovely courtyard for sitting in during the day. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive and seem to really love where they work. I didn't manage to try their breakfast or simple lunch options of soup, sandwiches and quiche etc on the menu but will definitely be back.
