I don't typically find brick and mortar locations of Carter's unless they are tucked away inside some mall or Galleria type location. The physical presence of this stand alone Carter's makes it worth visiting. They have a good online selection, but in all honesty, it is better to visually see and try the clothing in person for your little one. Sometimes what you see online is what you don't get. Children typically grow out of clothing rather quickly. Carters clothing can shrink in size and is not of the splendor variety that will hold its shape and structure forever. Therefore, size up and wash those clothing in cold water! Oh and not everything can be thrown into the dryer, depending on the type of fabric or style of clothing. As mentioned earlier, the customer service here is great and you can ask them anything in regards to their products. I am already loving their autumn and winter apparel. Prices are excellent, patterns are plenty, and they have so many styles and colors for the little one. Loving their beanies, socks, bibs and other niknaks in between. This is a great retail shop, their hours are good and their selection is massive. One could easily take an hour just browsing their variety and trying it on their little bean. I have already picked up beanies and jumpers for autumn. Google might say that this Carter's location is closed, but it is definitely open. But this time, a reminder app on my new iPhone told me check out a great deal I shouldn't miss at Kohls.com. So, I rushed over to the nearest Kohl's store. I couldn't believe it was so easy to get here on Highway 6. This is the 4th Kohl's store I've been in Houston. The parking lot is a lot bigger than other locations. I think it was because Palais Royal left the mall. Everything was so neat at this Kohl's store. Store has a logical layout and I didn't have trouble locating men's department. The clearance area was huge with everything in one place. I didn't have to guess the prices because they were clearly labeled. I bought what I wanted, of course, it was on sale. I was short to earn another $5 Kohl's cash after calculating the price with a cashier. She let me go back to get more stuff while holding my purchase. She was so efficient and I didn't get her name because they don't put cashier's name on the receipt anymore. I spent about 2 hours shopping and lost track of time. I think I may have skipped my lunch. Since I was in Missouri City, I decided to get something to eat before heading back to Houston.

So over the last 12 months we've gone into every single store in the Stafford Fountains (which is really part of the mega burb of Sugar Land). It was Barbi's idea, she's a shopaholic. She sold it as "you can review a bunch of businesses that don't have reviews and I'll check out the stores with you since you don't know how to shop." It was all a ploy. She literally just wanted an excuse to go in 250 big box stores. I think she sees shopping the way some men (like me) see sex. Why go in 1 store when you can sweet talk your partner into letting you go in 250. Why have 1 partner-swap or threesome when you can have 250 of them over a year. You see what I'm saying. But none of this has anything to do with this particular store, which like many others in the excellent Fountains Shopping Center, is one we have now visited on multiple occasions. Barbi has quite a few nieces and nephews now, and other than the ones who live in San Luis Potosi or the Rio Grande Valley, we have a bunch here in Houston, almost all of them, and we've become quite close with some of them. Barbi says this is one of her 3 go-to stores for buying things for them. I think she misses the irony that when she says go-to and buying, that I'm the one who takes her to the store, and I'm the one who pays for the things. But it's okay. When you have a girl that is anything like Barbi, you will do anything they say. Service is good, prices are just okay, Barbi wanted it to get 4 stars, but my personal experience is closer to 3. Of course, Barbi wins.

However, the sales associates happily helped me search for it until we finally gave up. I then started looking for a large black bow tie, but they didn't have that either. The assortment of apparel on the men's side is good, but I wish they carried a couple more items. The service is great tho. Everyone from the sales associates to the cashiers were friendly and helpful. I ended up buying some socks and underwear which were at a great price. I saved about 30-40% of the original cost of the items. I'll come back again in the future when I have the time to really sort through the stacks.
