Started off nice - greeted at the door and was offered a beverage. The experience quickly turned sour when I was told my optima lease was in terrible condition and I would be charged 3,000 for damages. 3,000 for 3 scratches, new tires, and a new bumper. !? The salesman went back and forth speaking with the sales manager about different offers and payments and laughed with him every time he was behind the glass. What's that about? After 3 trips, the sales manager finally came out from behind the glass. He was very negative and scolded me about my mileage saying I was going to go way over and be charged bla bla bla (mileage was well under my allotted 36,000). I felt incredibly uncomfortable and walked away from the dealership. I decided to turn in my Kia at a separate dealer on the other side of town. Even though a third party looks over the leased car - I did not want that car sitting on their lot after this experience. The two men we spoke with were arrogant and pushy while trying to instill fear in me just to get a sale. Clearly did not work. I didn't appreciate the lack of respect. read more

I left the KIA dealership in Monroeville this evening after learning that the price we agreed upon had been changed by about $5,000 more than what we initially discussed. When I was there in the afternoon I discussed that I was looking for a price of $11,000 after all rebates and my trade in. I told the salesman that with the sales tax and prep fees I figured the amount that I would finance would about $12,300 to $12,500. When I pointed out that the paperwork that they presented was around $17,500, the salesperson apologized and came back with paperwork that was now about $15,500. Needless to say I was not happy, since it was still $3,000 over the price we discussed I asked the salesman what happened to our agreed upon price of $11,000. plus tax and fees? He said that the sales manager said that they could not go that low. I asked why they said they could earlier in the day, but now could not. I was told that they would "lose money" on the deal, that this was a great deal, and that in further looking at my trade in, they should probably give me less than their offer. So this is my estimation of KIA of Monroeville...What they offer is not necessarily what i would get, As a retiree, I try to keep a close eye on my money, and when dealing with anyone I have always presented myself as one who kept my word. KIA of Monroeville did not keep their word with me, in fact with the changed paperwork, they pointed out that they are were not above being underhanded in the way they tried to push the price up. I did not NEED to buy a new car since mine is very dependable, so I did what should be done when someone thinks they can push you into a deal that we did not agree on.....I WALKED OUT! I bought my Kia Sportage from this dealership last September and have been taking it there every few months to get the oil changed. I couldn't be happier with my Sportage and so far no issues with the car. After the one year mark, it was time for an inspection. I took my car in on a Saturday and the receptionist whom I talked with over the phone for the appointment booked me for an oil change instead. Normally this wouldn't be a problem however my time slot was for 11:30 and the mechanics go to lunch from 12-1. They told me the car wouldn't be done until after 1 and I would have to wait. Of course I was not happy about this and gave them my number to call when the car was done and went off to Kohls across the street. To my surprise they called within an hour to say that my car was done. They talked the mechanic into taking his lunch late to get my car done and apologized numerous times for the mistake of the receptionist. I am extremely appreciate to them for fixing this problem which allowed me to continue on with my day. read more

My parents bought a Sedona from this dealership in 2009 and up until recently we had no complaints. The vehicle has less than 20k miles on it. While driving into Pittsburgh one morning the van just stopped running. It was towed to the dealership - they have an extended warranty - and my parents waited to hear the results. The first call said there was nothing wrong with the van, and to come get it. My mom was skeptical and asked them to check it again. The second call said there was a blown gasket and that they would order the part and fix it. It has now been a MONTH. They never call to update anyone about the vehicle, and it has been a constant stream of excuses: couldn't find the part number, Kia takes a long time to deliver parts, we ordered the wrong part, the new part isn't here yet.... My parents have to call THEM, and they seem totally unconcerned about the fact that my parents have been without the van for a month. And NO, they don't offer any sort of rental for people in this situation. None of us will ever do business with them again, and my dad is seriously considering selling the van. read more

My wife and I have gone through a number of vehicles in the past few years and all of them purchased through dealers. I can honestly say that this was our best experience to date !! Drake Dunnett was our salesmen and we could not have been more pleased. We told him what we were looking for and in no time we were standing in front of the vehicle that we ended up going with. Normally I am not the type to leave negative reviews (I just never go back) but the atrocity that was my experience at Monroeville Kia cannot go untold (it is a long read but if you want to know the crap they pull, it's worth finishing). The "sales managers" (if you can even call them that) Mike and BJ were by far the absolute worst cars sales managers I have ever had the displeasure of working with. You couldn't pay me to deal with those two again. This entire debacle was just a case of bait and switch at the most basic level. They advertised a price for a specific car and then when you get there they tell you that it is for a different car or that you need to pay the extra for what they had in the ad. So, this all started when I saw a banner on the website last Friday 4-1-2016 that was advertising a "Spring Clearance Event" which said "2016 AWD Sorento $21,998". I didn't have time to make it out on Friday but I called after work and talked to the "Internet Sales" associate. I told her I was looking for an AWD Sorento and didn't want anything fancy. I said I saw the price online was $21,998 and I wanted to make sure if I made the 30 minute trip to the dealer the next day that they would still honor that price. She said "Absolutely!" She was telling me about how they were trying to liquidate a large amount of inventory and that they had plenty of colors to choose from. Happy that they would still honor the price, I made arrangements and went out the following day. I got there Saturday at about 10:45 and was greeted by Tracey and he was really nice. He asked what brought me in and I told him about wanting the Sorento in AWD and told him about the internet sales associate saying they would honor the online price. He told me he had plenty of AWD Sorentos and that I should pick a color to test drive. I picked a nice dark blue and we took off for a test drive. Everything was great. I loved the car and at 6'5, I had plenty of leg room. We got back to the dealership where we talked a little more and then we agreed that it was time to talk numbers. This is where things went horrifically south. I had brought my Chevy Impala in on a trade and Tracey told me that he had to take the car around back to get appraised by them and then he would bring me all the numbers. He came back about 15 minutes later and showed me the paper containing the numbers. He started going over them and when he was done I was totally floored. The price of the car was $29,998 (remember it was advertised for $21,998) and they were only offering me $7000 for my Impala (mind you other dealerships in the last month have consistently offered $8800). So not only did they jack up the price on the car $8000, they low balled the crap out of my trade in. I looked at Tracey and told him that we weren't even close. He asked what was wrong and I explained to him about the price on the website and the low ball offer on my trade in. Tracey immediately questioned the internet sales price. He asked if I had a picture but I didn't. So, I grabbed my phone and looked up their website to see if it was still up by chance and it was! I showed him and clear as day it said 2016 AWD Sorento $21,998. He asked if he could go show this to Mike and BJ and I agreed. He came back and told me that they wouldn't honor the price. At this point I was starting to get very aggravated at the fact that I had already been there for 2 hours and was wasting my time. I told him that I was promised the price would be honored and that it was considered a verbal contract. He went back to the office and I should mention that Tracey's desk is right beside them. I could hear/see the one guy (he wasn't Mike or BJ) in the office yelling into the phone telling someone they needed to take the ad off the website (this is the point they realized they made a mistake). Tracey comes back out and says that the car listed in the super small, lightly colored fine print was actually a Front Wheel Drive car. I told him that I didn't care considering they had in giant bold letters above "2016 AWD". Since they advertised it, they needed to honor it and that if they didn't, this was a clear cut case of "Bait and Switch". He said Mike/BJ said they wouldn't honor the price and that no bait and switch had occurred. After jerking me around for another 20 minutes, I told him that I was done. I asked for the keys to my car and I was leaving. As I started walking out Tracey asked me if I would talk to Mike and BJ directly. I obliged thinking it couldn't get any worse. I was wrong. Mike started talking to me which was more of him talking down on me. He told there was no way he would honor their ad and that I would only be able to get a FWD rather than the AWD. All in all this was by far the worst car purchasing experience of my life. I have reported this dealership to the Better Business Bureau and I hope that anyone who reads this will think twice and avoid going Monroeville Kia. read more

This has to be the worst place to have your car serviced. First, my car was still under warranty and they said that there was nothing wrong with it and refused to service it. Second, once this place has your phone number and address they will beret you with phone calls of pre recorded messages saying that you need to get your car serviced... I've called several times to be removed from this listing, and still have not been removed. I will be reporting them. They will also send you a multitude of annoying mailings. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE- THEY ARE HORRIBLE. read more

I purchased a Forte on the 15th of October. Now that it is all said and done I wish I had walked out of that place. Craig Stewart was my sales person. He was pushy rude and lied to me. He was done at 6 that day and became irritated when I actually took time to read the paperwork I was signing. Once all the paperwork was signed he called my insurance company to do whatever he had to do. Once again he became irritated and slammed down the phone and cursed in front of my one year old. He was upset at being put on hold. Once I was in the finance manager's office and we went over the paper work I noticed the rate I was quoted wasn't the rate I agreed to. Jim Shorkey Kia had actually warned this place will do this. When I asked about Craig Stewart actually said " it's only pennies on the dollar". When I am about to leave they info me they lost the second key to the car. So I have to wait for it to come in. Today I called so I could come up and get the other key. Woman on the phone tells me I have to make an appointment . So now I have to wait till December 3rd to get my other key. When I got a upset at having to wait that for a key they lost she got an attitude with and said " I didn't lose your key". Neither did I . How dose a dealer lose a key to began with. Seems like very important thing to keep track of. On top of this they advertise the car much cheaper online then they actually sell them for. Just check the website and then call and ask them about a car. Guarantee the price goes up. I won't be going back. I am getting ready to buy a Kia Soul and this stupidity lost you guys a sale. read more

I leased a Kia Sorento on August 12th. I traded in my dodge dart. Apparently Monroeville Kia isn't set up to lease vehicles on commercial accounts. They never told us this. That being the case, Monroeville Kia didn't know how to do the paper work so it's taken 2 months to process the paper work on their end. Since I am 8 months pregnant, I've asked them repeatedly to cancel the deal and give me back my dodge dart. The dodge dart that they have had in their procession for two months and have not made a payment on. My auto loan lender for the dart has been contacting me about late payments on the dart and charging me late fees. When we told Monroeville Kia about this they didn't care. The general manager did not care about my credit taking a hit for all of this, he didn't care about the added stress of this situation. When my husband pressed the issue on my credit taking a hit the general manager simply said "Why do you care about her credit, it's not your credit". When we asked why they hadn't paid the dart off the GM told us it was technically still in my name, yet they have the dart listed on the website for sale. When this fact was brought to his attention he originally tried to lie and say the dart was not for sale on their website. Later when we provided proof, which was the printed ad from their website, he literally laughed and told us we signed over the dart to them and said there is nothing we can do about it. They finally got the paper work right, two months later and this is finally over with. I will NEVER buy another car from Monroeville Kia or a Kia in general. I suggest you save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. read more

I was in the market for a vehicle. They had a Kia Sorrento listed. I was getting rid of my Kia and wanted to test drive a newer one. Monroeville was competitive on the price. I test drove it. There was a noise (like a drag) in the front drivers wheel. The salesman that worked with me was great. However the gm or whoever was behind the glass said he could not imagine there being something wrong because the car is certified. He said he would have a mechanic look at it though. It wasn't 10 mins later that the salesman called me to say that they could not find anything wrong with it. 10 MINS???? I again told the salesman that I was not interested. I did not like the noise. I was so disgusted, after weeks of researching and visiting different dealerships that I drove straight to Valley Honda. Their dealership was fantastic!! Happy, friendly people....not at all like Monroeville Kia!!!!! I test drove a 2016 CR-V. The salesman was fantastic and understood that I was looking for truth and no salesman BS. I did not need financing. After getting the info on the 2016 and 2017 CR-V, we went back the next day to test drive the 2017 and ended up buying it. Got a great deal!! Monroeville Kia had taught me that I did not want someone else's garbage and not to trust dealerships!! The next morning the Kia salesman contacted me to let me know that the mechanic looked at the Sorrento again and found something in the wheel or tire. I replied that I appreciate it but I had just bought a BRAND NEW Honda. Since then I have continually received repeated phone calls from Monroeville Kia!!! I spoke to a second girl today, repeated my conversation with another girl from Sat. and asked them to never contact me again!!!! I would never buy from this dealership!!! read more

The dealership listed a 2001 VW Cabrio on craigs list and it's website. I called to see if the car was there and went to see it on march 16 (Friday). The car had yet been looked at by the shop but they had it priced and with a limited warranty on the lot. I took it for a pretty long test drive and wanted to buy. Problem was we found alot of issues with the car under the hood. They said it had to go through the shop first and they would call by Tuesday to tell me what they found on Monday. So we put a deposit on the car to hold it. Even though we hadn't settled on a price (they wanted 8,000 and with the issues we only wanted to pay 4,500. Wednesday my boyfriend stopped by since we didn't get a call to see what was going on. After they looked at the car the car wasn't road legal. That is a concern for me! They let me drive a car that was UNTESTED and UNSAFE. After expressing his distress (probably not in a calm manner-I wasn't there) he was "kicked out" of the dealership by the "owner". I m not saying what he did was ok, but the fact that I was put in unsafe car truly upsets me and make me double think any car I drive now. I know they only had the car for a day, but they should have checked it before putting it out for sale. I wouldn't take a car from these people if they gave it to me. read more

Buyers seriously beware. Cars extremely overpriced, but besides that I've bought two cars from them. both needed fixed with serious issues. so bad that the vehicle repair centers i took them to state that they do not know how they passed inspection (both vehicles were given brand new inspections the day i bought them). My wifes car had a serious oil leak in cylinder 2 and the check engine code was just stored, or turned off when sold. this car (scion xb) was right after the dealership warranty ran up went down the crapper. the second car(mini cooper) started having problems within the month that i still had the dealership warranty so i took it back to them. I told them i had a garage look at it and they said the whole underside of the vehicle was completely rusted out and had numerous stored check engine codes stored and needed all new wheel bearings, etc... well when i took it to monroeville kia mazda for them to fix it they refused to fix it because it was so bad and was going to cost so much that they said to pick another car from their lot in the same price range. after pickin a 2010 ford fusion which costed LESS than my car, they still refused to give me a straight up trade and ended up making 400 from me.I had no choice but to do it cause if i would have taken the cooper to another dealership i would not have been able to get anything from them. NOW, my fusion which was inspected from them when i bought it is going to the crapper, on 2 months after i bought it. Transmission is slipping and engine is ticking VERY VERY LOUD. read more
