I spent 45 minutes waiting for my barber to finish cutting two other people before he tells me he needs to go on break and eat because he is very hungry. It would have been professional and at least courteous to give me the option of whether to expend 2hrs of my time on a haircut, IN ADVANCE. Who eats for 30minutes? What barber doesn't warn their clients that they will need to go on break shortly before agreeing to cut their hair?Who takes a break in the middle of busy Friday night shift with clients in line? During this call, a staff member informed me that a $25 fee would be charged due to the cancellation falling outside the stipulated 48-hour notice period. I attempted to explain the unforeseen circumstances that necessitated this last-minute cancellation. However, the representative maintained a strict adherence to the policy, reiterating the rule without further discussion or consideration of my situation. As this was my first occasion requiring a cancellation within a short timeframe, I had hoped for a more empathetic approach. However, I was looking for a sew in, and I found this place to be deceptive (via lack of transparency) and a little thievish....like they just need every penny I booked and paid a deposit on the site. I wanted more info so I called (taking initiative as a customer). On the phone they inform me i need a consultation for any service and they only use their bundles, and I clarify that neither of those requirements are on the website, but ok. I ask how much are the bundles, the receptionist cant tell me for some reason. Odd right? After a bit of back and forth, I decide that I will pay for a consultation, which is stated to be 25$ over the phone and the money would go to my service, ok fine - glad I called and found out. I go there - the 'consultation' is a basic, paper form Q&A and the stylist showed 4 little cuts of example textures. I ask for the price, as any educated consumer does. She tells me the bundles are $120/weft for the kinky coily one I want. Mind you, they are labeled TexHair which doesn't even come up online? They were human but thick root but very thin at the end (IMO). Personal choice, i am not paying 120 per bundle for a bundle I cant not see in person. The examples were trimings.... As I leave the receptionist, says i owe 10 more dollars for the consultation???? I spoke to the stylist for 5 minutes max. i just wanted to now the cost of the bundles which (whisper screams) were on a piece of paper the receptionist could have found the very first time i called?! Like i am not sure if this is a tactic to make you come in for at least the consultation but even the stylish apologized for there being no info on the sit, so everyone is aware??. I work a FT, corporate job and dont make $7/minute. One of the stylist said she didn't care and continued to work (that should have been a red flag, but I drove too far! ). The girl that did my daughter's hair name was Bryana. When I tell you that after we got home to wrap my daughter's hair that she had a very bad chemical burn, and on top of that she was suppose to trim my daughter's hair and MESSED that up.
