The only thing I didn't like is that the images on Yelp aren't actually photos of East High School; they are more personal photos, and I prefer the ones on the map.

Fights at east are easy to avoid, and if you are a student at east, or an incoming student, I'd recommend staying out of that crap because the fights usually suck to watch, and you should spend your time doing something productive. Honestly a lot of kids at this school are annoying and loud in the classroom, And there is some people with way to big of an ego and l'm exited to see those people not graduate. The school provides the basic American education system shit, and is a npc school in terms of the history and subjects they teach. Ww2, Poverty, conflicts, you know run of the mill social studies topics. The biggest problem with this school is the people. (Big shock) some people just have no chill and can't just be a nice person. I had a group of about 5-10 friends I hung out with everyday, and they were nice and having nice supportive friends are important, but also having mischievous friends is good too for fun. So in conclusion, the east experience is somewhat hostile, so I recommend surrounding yourself you find are kind, and fit your interests. Don't be a dick.

East Side Sharks against Poynette played at LaFollette High School. I have done my share of…read moretraveling to different schools but this was my first time here. What was cool was they had 3 football fields next to each other. Each team was practicing on the two outside fields and then moved to the middle field to play their football game. As they played the teams for the next game up were able to practice on the two outside fields. This game was not pretty but it wasn't expected to be. The East Side Sharks are City Street savvy whereas the Poynette kids are country bumpkins. Surprisingly Poynette kept up in the first quarter but it went downhill fast as Poynette player after player were hauled off the field with injuries. One East Side Shark body slammed a Poynette player right in front of me and I thought the kid broke his neck the way he came down and laid there. I heard him say he couldn't move his leg but it turned out to be a knee injury which is bad enough for 7th graders. The only downside to these "practice" football fields is that there were no score boards to tel what quarter it was or the score. I heard one referee state at one point that it was 2 minutes to half time yet it seemed like 20 minutes by the time it got there. But again, with all the injuries the game did move slower. At the end the score was something like 14 to 42 or more. Gotta love those youth football games.

I have high functioning autism and have trouble being in loud spaces, so I tried to ask my case manager to move to a more quiet class, and it took nearly a month just to get that to work out! and don't even get me started on the administ as they do virtually nothing to stop bullying other than "anti-bullying signs" and "please don't bully" messages. at one point, a special needs kid That I knew personally got beaten up to the point where they dislocated their teeth and got suicidal thoughts, and yet when the parent asked to move to a different school, the school administration and district weren't cooperating for weeks until they were bascially forced to do so. I could go on and on, but I'm gonna end it here: don't go to this school if you value your kids mental health. try monona grove or something on the west side instead.
