There is a 5:1 child to provider ratio and a spacious outside play area. Homecooked meals are provided for lunch and breakfast. Our daughter divides her time with mix-aged groups and same-aged groups -- giving her an opportunity to learn from older children and to practice modeling for younger children. She interacts with children from an array of different backgrounds. The teachers are caring and devoted and don't hesitate to provide feedback when asked. And it says something about the quality of a place when the shortest-tenured teacher has been working at Creek for 10 years! Creek -- though certainly more affordable -- stands out alongside higher-priced preschools in Madison.

Everyone gets to know every child, and you in turn are supported by a true community of teachers, staff, and administrators - it feels very horizontal here, where the head of the school is absolutely involved in getting to know all the families. If you are lucky enough in life then you will encounter a teacher who really "gets" your child, and does so much to nurture and support their own spirit. From Director Penny, to the teachers in the various rooms, and the administrative staff, every single soul at PSA is a gem! Our son lives it, of course, and gets tremendous, thoughtful, experienced instruction in art, music, reading, math, and so on. So much so that we decided to keep him in the kindergarten program here, even though we could have saved some money by sending him to free public school. In short, I'd give PSA 10/10 stars, WECP 9/10, and another a much lower score. Worth every penny!
