Maddie is so wonderful with Blake and I just love hearing all the stories about her day/accomplishments at pick up! They do a great job of sending updates throughout the day, and our favorite part are the photos they share! And the chef and kitchen menu is awesome! It always smells so delicious at drop off and they give the kids a great, healthy variety of foods. Last thing is, even from the beginning, when I would drop her off, ALL of the teachers would greet Blake by name as we walked down to her classroom. How special is that?? You can tell how much love and intention goes into every classroom. The chef is wonderful, and the healthy food program is such a huge plus. Our kids eat better here than they do at home most days! The Spanish immersion program has been another highlight--it's incredible to see how naturally our children are picking up new language skills. Beyond the day-to-day care, what really makes The Village special is the sense of community. When our family went through a medical event, the daycare staff and families immediately surrounded us with support. They organized a meal train, dropped off food/snacks for the hospital, offered to help with pickups, and did whatever they could to lighten our load during a difficult time. We're so grateful to have found a place that feels like an extension of our home and for all three of our children to learn, play, and thrive.

Note to parents: come have lunch with them when it's ravioli...yum! The sports are amazing. My kids have been in basketball, volleyball, and track. They call it On Track, because it's always leaning toward how you can deepen your relationship with God. For only a few thousand dollars, they sure teach a whole lot. My wife is a special education teacher and they are trying to get more staff. Please consider joining the staff at our school, or maybe volunteer for lunch. It helps our school community. We were worried as he was in a…read morehome-based program for a year (Careplus Fitchburg, great place too, but the hours didn't work for our schedules) and thought that he might not like the change. However in less than a week he went from apprehensive about the new place, to loving to go to school in the morning. If you ask him if he had fun at school today he'll answer something like "yes..... read books, danced, played in sandbox!!' (which is a pretty articulate response for a 22 month old). The staff is attentive/fun/well qualified and the facility is amazing (huge sandbox, lots of playgrounds, a track for wheeled vehicles, nature trails, gardens, a rubberized indoor play area for rainy days etc). They also feed the kids good healthy meals (my 22 month old ate a ton of asparagus, one of his favorite foods, the other day). I should also point out that they are a NAEYC and Youngstar 5 star facility, so no worries there.

We were worried at first about how our children would fit in and if they would be behind as they did not start out in Montessori, but in a very short time, our 5 year old has learned to read, write and can count to 1,000 and our 3 year old has become more independent (cleaning around the house, getting dressed independently, etc.). We highly recommend Guidepost, it has been a great environment for our family.

As it got closer to opening and doing tours the staff said they would not initially have the main meals but would hope to get them in the coming months after opening. When it was time to start, they shared that I had been told the wrong information and they plan to never have the main meals, parents have to pack and provide those meals and the school will provide only snacks. I was able to get my deposit back but lost the $200 registration fee. I can't recommend this school because they do not provide meals, which is important to me and my family. However, the curriculum and classrooms are top of the line. So it just depends on what you need from a school/daycare.
