I finally had the time to post a review for LFC. Our beloved mom passed away at the end of June in…read more2022. My older sister decided that LFC was the place for my mom's memorial and also to be cremated. Since, the black suburban arrived to pick up my mom's remains, they were so respectful and handled everything in a calm and elegant way. I was scared to see that mom's remains were going to be place in a big zipper bag, someone (family member) mention something like that but no, LFC had a write bed sheet to cover her. They asked us each time if, we were ready for then to proceed or if, we need more time or said the last good bye to her. They took their time and handled everything with so much respect and care. I really appreciate all those little details that I will remember for the rest of my life. For the memorial service Lisa Perry took care of us, she was so helpful and considerate with all our needs she won't try just to sell unnecessary things to you. She was efficient and available by email all the time with anything we need and also for the day of my mom's memorial. We bought some flowers also, and prices were fair and flowers were fresh and lasted longer. Thank you so much Lisa, for taking great care of us during this challenging event of our life. We are from Guatemala and there are some cultural funeral aspects important to us, that Lisa helped us to accommodate. We all in the family agreed about the great job that Lisa did and made sure she knew it with a card that was delivered to her. Leesburg is lucky to have such a great funeral place serving the community with compassion and care.

I can't say enough good things about this company. My mother recently died and I'd never had to…read morearrange anything like this before. Luckily, hospice referred me to DCSV. Not only are their prices VERY reasonable, but they communicated very clearly to me what I needed to do. Everything was handled by phone and e-mail. Kip Austin and Tiffany Rahl were both SO patient with all my questions! Even when I changed my mind at the last minute and asked them to deliver my mom's ashes to my home (because I was trying to avoid an emotion trip out to and back from Chantilly), they were just super nice about it and got me on the schedule for the very next day's delivery! Of course NO ONE wants to face the death of a loved one, but DCSV went above and beyond to make this process as painless as possible. I am beyond grateful for how they handled everything.

When my mother was put into Comfort Care, I had researched cremation services and pretty much knew…read morewhat I wanted before I interviewed (in person) four crematories/funeral homes. Two of them failed to disclose all their fees until I asked additional questions (based on my research), one of them was double the price of the other three, and the fourth one was Direct Cremation Services. I met with a gentleman named Kip, who didn't try to upsell me, and gave me a package that met my requests. The costs were significantly lower than the other three places. He assured me that Direct Cremation Services would take care of everything, and explained both the logistical process and the paperwork/payment process. When my mother passed away, on a weekend, Kip returned my (notification) call, emailed me the link to take care of the documents, and immediately send his team out to transport my mother's remains. He told me the paperwork could wait until Monday. Thereafter, everything went as promised, and I picked up my mother's "cremains" yesterday. An unbelievably smooth process during a difficult time. I can't recommend this place enough.

They were caring for our needs and made sure everything went as planned. No one wants to use a funeral home because it means someone near and dear to you has passed. However, if you need a funeral home you cannot go wrong with Halls. Again, Thank You Kim, Carl & Aubrey for all you did. It was above and beyond and my family appreciated your efforts.

I recently had a friend pass unexpectedly and under tragic circumstances. After having a horrible experience at a funeral home in Middleburg, Virginia, a friend suggested Hall's in Purcellville. What a difference!! Kim Reed was a godsend. She understood that my friend's surviving spouse was in no condition to make immediate decisions. She worked closely with family members and friends to plan a service that was not only tailored to honor the wishes of the deceased, but also represented her special interests. Ms. Reed was extremely supportive, empathetic, and kept communication lines open no matter the day or time. She is a very warm, caring individual who understands grieving family and friends. I highly recommend this funeral home - they understand the tragedy of loss and death.
