He did an AMAZING job and found 66 unmarked graves and confirmed the location of 44 that we knew about! The "business" seems quite averse to making money. I had some family contact them to do a small job around their home as a test. If her experience was a positive one, I was going to hire them to do larger commercial work for my company back home. I happened to be in town and was going to guide her through the process of contacting a contractor and gathering information and quotes. Their website says they serve all 50 states, but the joke was on us because they also claimed to provide an actual service to begin with. The treatment of my loved one has irritated me so much I was motivated to create an account on here just to warn others. An initial email was sent with a couple of questions about the kind of service they offer and what kind of rates to expect. All that was gotten back was a run-on sentence without any further information on how to employ this company's services. Perhaps there was a miscommunication or they can't handle more than one question at a time? A follow up email was sent with the question that he missed as well as asking for a good company in our local area he would advise to work with; our thinking being that site mislead us to believe that Geomodel could be worked with directly and perhaps they only provide products to other companies that can actually do the work. Yet again, a single sentence response "You can find a company on the internet." Oh why thank you Mr. Sherloc, however, 'looking it up online' is what landed us in this unfortunately stupid email exchange we found ourselves in. Granting this Mr. Matt the benefit of the doubt that he was just a bit slow, she called the company hoping to get someone a little more capable. Upon answering, it was Matt manning the phone as well. Alright. Guess we'll get to see if he understands questions better when they're spoken to him. He may just not be able to work with computers well. I happened to be in the room while she called, and I found his tone was quite condescending. When my cousin switched him to speaker, I could hear in his voice that he found enjoyment in lording over people that he thinks he's smarter than them. It went a bit awkward though, because you could tell he was trying to pigeon-hole the conversation toward some "snappy one-liner" he'd wanted to say. It was a really bizarre attempt at communication. I see why a lot of his work is done in graveyards. I keep telling my cousin some people are just bad, and that being nice and giving people as many chances as she does opens her up to being treated poorly and this is just what happened. Looks like Matt is one of those people. So in summation: Geomodel's website, despite how wordy it is, provides little to no substantive information, is misleading when they say they offer services in other states, and their staff is rude and single-minded. read more
