There's a good under 3s section with a ball pit and 2-stage climbing frame (soft). There are some sit-on soft toys and some blocks. The floor is a bit suspect and there's a bit of an old smell to the area - nothing terrible but you do notice it. The play equipment appears safe but could be in better condition. The main soft play is a triple height affair with climbing, balls, slides and chutes. It's safe and in better condition than the toddler area. At weekends and after school this place can get packed but, during the day it's not too bad. A cafe facility is available serving teas, coffees, soft drinks and snacks. The prices are reasonable. Tables are kept away from the soft play being behind a low wall. They are OK but there's not a good view of the play area meaning that it's hard to have a coffee and take care of your child. For many parents this just seems to mean that they don't watch their child and so you do have to be careful that your child doesn't get set upon by unrully kids. It's not a particularly comfortable place but it's a good local option for a rainy day. Car parking is available.

There's the river nearby for feeding ducks and plenty of open space for kicking a ball around or flying a kite. There is simple seating around the edge for parents from which they can still watch their little ones, and magazines to read. There is a small separate area for pre-walkers with soft play, and appropriate toys. The centre also sells hot drinks and snacks and there is a small seating area for this, complete with high chairs. Parking is a bit of an issue but they do offer partial refund on your ticket if you use the local council car park.

Do understand the parent who brings the kids is left to mull over life in a yawning chasm of screaming party kids. So the better the surroundings the better, the staff cleaned and kept things moving, in fact the speed they operated and did 3 or 4 jobs at once would have made them an impressive team cleaning a hospital. Cost under a tenner for two kids for two hours with drinks, food not included.

Money well spent if you arrive early and stay as long as possible to maximize the expense. If you can only go for a short time, ask about the After school rate. We really loved the tractor ride (1.25 pounds per adult) - while it was a little hard to hear the narration (it was windy that day) we enjoyed the fun bumpy ride around the farm - They had some clever decoration in honor of the Halloween season. Little Hoppington area is ADORABLE: the animal village for animal handling, goat milking and various bunnies in their own "houses" that you can feed. So cute! And the adults turned into kids once we got on the giant slide. They even have a cute little gift shop which stocks kids Wellies/rain boots for 15 pounds. (no entrance fee to enter the Gift shop) PLUS: the food they served at the Old Barn Tearoom (you can eat there without paying entrance fee) was shockingly delicious.
