I would love to see them use seasonal organic foods in the future. We stayed in the Bristol suite. It was a huge room and huge bathroom. The room has a gas stove (like a wood stove) and a jacuzzi tub. Some of the other rooms have hot tubs outside. I actually wish we had a hot tub instead - there's nothing better than a warm hot tub on a cool night. There was an enclosed porch as well as a deck in the room. The bathroom was a little dated as far as style, but like I said it was huge. The property itself is large and very beautiful. The owners' son (I think he was 10) took us on a tour to see the dogs and goats.

I was slightly nervous about previous reviews, but realized those were issues with the previous owners. Do NOT let old reviews deter you! Penny, the amazing new Innkeeper, is extremely personable and attentive and has renovated many of the rooms since she purchased the Inn. I was welcomed with hospitality and the accommodations were outstanding. My room was clean, absolutely huge, and the bathroom had a jetted tub with a picture window of the beautiful views! I watched the sun rise while soaking in the tub a couple of mornings and it was simply divine. The property is magnificent and the views are absolutely spectacular from every angle! The common areas are elegant, yet comfy and the dining area boasts floor to vaulted ceiling windows that frame the view beautifully. Perfect sitting areas to sit, chat, relax, and soak in the scenery. Every morning we were greeted with freshly ground coffee and were asked what we wanted for breakfast. My first morning I requested a "kitchen sink" omelet that Penny made with all fresh ingredients and it was absolutely delicious. The fresh bananas from the market were the best I'd ever had in my life. I enjoyed sitting at the bar chatting with Penny while she glided effortlessly through the kitchen. I am sure she would laugh to hear me say that, but it's true :) Penny helped us set up a wine and brewery tour that we thoroughly enjoyed. She recommended Kismet New American Bistro for an elegant dinner. I must say, she has excellent taste because this petite restaurant completely blew me away! The food was absolutely exquisite and the staff was extremely personable. Penny also recommended a short walk from Kismet to the Historic Naples Hotel for karaoke and to experience a little Naples nightlife. Everyone we met along the way was inviting and charming. Our visit to Naples would not have been as magical without Penny and her beautiful Vagabond Inn! I will definitely be visiting the Vagabond again....and again...

I booked Another World over a year in advance as a getting-ready location for my bridal party and…read moreto host my family during my wedding weekend in Naples. At first Lisa seemed very helpful and even said she could host our rehearsal dinner. As time went on, communication became increasingly difficult. I repeatedly had to follow up to get answers about our plans and pricing. When I asked about snacks and mimosas for our group, I learned last minute that we couldn't bring our own drinks (not mentioned on her website). After waiting over a week for her response, she quoted nearly $2,000 for breakfast, snacks, and mimosas--far more than expected. When I expressed concern, she sent a long text defending the charges. This felt unprofessional but, since it was just a week before my wedding, we pared the order down to snacks and mimosas. At this point she added a $750 "refundable" deposit. When we arrived (an hour after our requested early check-in), the house wasn't ready, which was fine since we had rehearsal. However, the property was not accessible for my mother-in-law's wheelchair as promised--all rooms are up or down stairs. The house also had a strong animal smell, possibly from her pets or goats, which we had not expected. The night before my wedding, my room was uncomfortably cold with no way to adjust the AC. Texts to Lisa went unanswered. Breakfast was basic and undercooked, not the gourmet meal advertised, though she did coordinate logistics so my fiancé and I wouldn't see each other. My fiancé settled the bill and left a tip thinking it was only for the event portion; Lisa had combined charges so the tip also applied to rooms and the refundable deposit, which we hadn't intended. On my wedding morning, my 11-year-old niece arrived. Lisa refused to serve the (overpriced) mimosas we had paid for because a child was present. This policy wasn't disclosed anywhere and she didn't ask if children would attend. She avoided speaking with me directly and was curt with my friends who tried to help. This was very upsetting just hours before my wedding. When we returned that night, mimosa supplies were left out, presumably to justify the charge. Lisa later apologized and said she'd send a gift certificate because of everything that happened but we never received anything. One week later our $750 deposit still hadn't been refunded. After multiple texts, calls, and emails (which bounced back) we finally received only $725. She hasn't responded to my follow-ups, and I had to file a credit card dispute to recover the difference. The home itself is beautiful and the animals are cute, but in my experience the business side is chaotic and communication is poor. Pricing we were quoted online didn't match what we were charged, policies were not disclosed ahead of time, and contact information on the website doesn't work. I felt taken advantage of because so many pricing details were handled at the last minute. Until there's new ownership or major improvements in hospitality and transparency, I would recommend looking elsewhere for an stress-free stay.

This is an impressive property, a big white home with rocking chairs on the front porch, high on a big hill with very green grass and flowering trees, brick front walk and the spring front garden sprouting. It's a few minutes from the Main Street but within a 30 minute drive of many towns, landmarks, wineries and restaurants. We loved feeling away from it all, yet being so close we could get to a few new places every day. Upon our arrival Martina gave us a warm welcome, a super quick checkin, a tour of a beautiful and invitingly appointed home, while she answered our questions and provided suggestions of her personal and local resident favorite places to visit. Our room, the Pembrook, had a king sized bed, was spacious, beautifully furnished, with a nice bathroom, was very clean and quiet. It was a retreat in itself. A different and utterly delicious multi course home cooked breakfast was served at 9am. They included warm scones, waffles, berries, eggs and more. The daily table scape was delightful and sadly I never remembered to get photos of the fine china, crystal, candles, linens, etc. One day I should make the effort to turn breakfast into something to be relished at my own home, but frankly that seems like more way more effort than I can muster after just waking. I'd really have a to do a lot the night before. We generally were so full, that our other meals were lighter than usual as we were not particularly hungry. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and fresh baked treats were always available at any time. Martina, Dave, Carol and John certainly delivered the hospitality we expected, but far more than that, they made us feel like very special friends!! We've traveled quite a lot and can't say that about anywhere else we've stayed. We'll always remember our stay here.

For entrées, the chicken Parm looked delicious.... There were a number of seafood dishes available, but the Osso Buco feature was the stuff that dreams are made of! The bartenders were really knowledgeable and friendly, servers seemedlike they were all best friends and the food runner was memorable as well!
