After talking with a neighbor whom had recently found a home with Rodney, we decided to end our relationship with our current realtor and contact him. That was by far the best decision we could have made for our family. Within hours of speaking with him, he had a home lined up for us to view. At that time, our 8mo old son had his first bad cough which made viewing homes difficult. Rodney suggested he could Facetime with me properties I was not able to view myself. (Which he did once) He took into account our budget along with our wishlist with every house we saw. Even though we were on a tight timeline, we never felt pressured to make an offer. She said on the phone to our agent "either sign amendment to say we the seller are done with repairs or "sue me" and will not compromise on lowering home price. Our agent encouraged us to drop the contract and get our Earnest money back since the seller was in default. I told her we were not comfortable doing that until we got input from the compliance person and we wanted to first try to remedy the buying of this home. I stated again we wanted repairs done. So I asked our agent "is she is still going to do those repairs"? "Yes, she is having them done next week". Polly Sprott did not do the electrical repair she promised to do for 1k. We should have sued them and we would have gotten the 1k, but truthfully we had been through so much in the few years before that in our personal lives we just accepted the deal. I would never buy a home from them again because they are sellers and know how to finagle it to work in their favor. There were fees we could have had them pay but our Realtor was not the best and in this Sellers market we should have had to pay less.
