The owner or manager of Monica Hair Studio is absolutely out of his mind!!!!
I purchased a Groupon for my wife and the owner freaked out when we presented it. He refused service to my wife and threw the Groupon paper towards my direction and said here call and get your money back! He than proceeded to accuse my wife that does not dominate English well, of not having informed him correctly that the appointment was for a Groupon offer. TO BE CLEAR ABOUT THIS WHOLE SITUATION, THEIR OWN PRINTED INSTRUCTIONS ON THE OFFER SAYS TO CALL AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! THAN CLEARLY STATES TO PRESENT THE GROUPON UPON ARRIVAL!!! THAT IS EXCATLY WHAT WE DID!! IT MAKES NO REFERENCE TO HAVING TO MENTION OVER THE PHONE THAT ITS A GROUPON OFFER! WHY SHOULD IT, THIS SHOULD NOT MATTER!!! Thank god that I accompanied my wife into the salon and was a witness to this man's absolute crazy, disrespectful and unprofessional behavior!
I can't imagine my sweet wife being alone during such a disturbing moment! Not knowing English well or Spanish at all, would have made it all even worse if she would not have had me by her side! We did absolutely nothing wrong other then making the mistake of choosing this NUT HOUSE to get my wife's hair done. THIS INSANE MAN kept insisting that my wife had deceived him somehow by not telling him in advance that the appointment was for a Groupon offer! My wife with her best broken English told him over the phone that we found the salon on the internet! MY WIFE ASSURRED ME THAT HE NEVER MADE ANY REFERENCE TO GROUPON DURING THE CALL SHE MADE. IF THIS MAN HAD ASKED MY WIFE ABOUT IT BEING A GROUPON OFFER, SHE WOULD NOT HAVE EVEN KNOWN WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT! UNTIL TODAY SHE DID NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT GROUPON WAS! SHE JUST ARRIVED HERE FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY! My wife only recalls two questions during their phone conversation, whether she was a first time client, which she answered yes to and where she had found out about the salon. As stated previously above, her answer was the internet. To my wife's best understanding, she thought she had answered the man accurately! Through out this 1 1/2 minutes of pure crazy behavior from this man, I remained calm! Even though he did not deserve an explanation from me, I still tried to explained to him that my wife's English speaking and understanding skills were not the best! He did not care to hear anything I had to say and continued with his crazy DISRESPECTFUL comments! Needless to say the appointment was not going to happen from the moment this man opened his mouth to address us, he was arrogant, offensive and rude from the very first moment that he open his mouth to us! I would not have ever allowed such a person to even go near my wife!!! If it matters, I walked in smiling, I said hello and introduced my wife and let him know she was there for a 2pm appointment. I did thi from the moment my wife pulled out the Groupon offer he became absolutely crazy and rude! Again if it matters, we were both nicely dressed and arrived in a luxury car. We are still in shock about the whole experience!!! They state in their Groupon offer that the service is valued at over $260! However by the man's unprofessional and crazy behavior Groupon customers most get their worst hairstylist and a lower quality service when they arrive with their Groupon offer in hand!. Which would be a less than honest and a deceptive!!! IT DOES NOT STATE ON THEIR GROUPON DEAL ANYWHERE THAT THE SERVICE WOULD BE ANY DIFFERENT IF YOU WERE PAYING THEIR REGULAR PRICE. AS A MATTER OF FACT IT SAYS THE OPPOSITE!!! IT HIGHLIGHTS WHAT A GREAT AND DISCOUNTED DEAL YOU ARE GETTING! OBVIOSLY IT IS ALL A HUGE DECEPTIVE LIE!!! For what other reason would this man have to behave the way he did? The man offended my wife and I for no other reason than his own warped and deceptive business reasons! This man deserves for people to stay far away from this business. For those that know him personally, I suggest if you care about him that you seek professional help for him! His mind is not right! I contacted Groupon and made a strong suggestion to them that they should not be involved with the promotion of a business that has such deceptive practices and has an absolute unstable insane person running it. I will be following up with them to do my best to convince them to terminate there business with this salon. Groupon customers especially beware! You will not receive the same quality of service as a regular paying customer and you have a great chance of being put in the same spot that we found ourselves in by being insulted by this madman! We followed the Groupon instructions to a tee, call make an appointment, present the Groupon upon arrival and enjoy! WOW!! WHAT A JOKE !! THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS OVERWHELMING AND SHAMEFULL! WHAT A GREAT WAY TO WELCOME MY WIFE TO THE U.S.A!
