They came for 2 hours every week and did a general clean. This included cleaning the kitchen and bathroom, hoovering and dusting. I have a small 3 bed house so 2 hours is enough to do that. To start it went really well. The cleaners came in in 2s or 3s and they were friendly and left the house looking good. Once they had got down the backlog I left a list of things to do as the house didn't need dusting every week. This included things like cleaning the inside of the windows etc; nothing outrageous. These things didn't get done and the house was dusted every week, despite the note. I phoned the company and when they called back they were very helpful, saying they would talk to the cleaners to make sure it went how I wanted. Sadly nothing changed and then basic things weren't done such as cleaning the kitchen floor, and the bath was still limescaley (how bad could it have been before they did it, when we clean it at least a couple of times a week!). When they were supposed to have thoroughly cleaned a room, there were still cobwebs in all the corners. I made excuses and carried on with the company, after all the cleaners are nice and you have to accept that others don't necessarily do things the way you want. But then things got worse. The cleaners came very late one day having basically had too many houses to clean before mine. They were clearly exhausted and made a pigs ear of the cleaning. Neither the kitchen or bathroom floors were clean, the windows were literally dirtier than when they arrived, there were still bits all over the carpet where it hadn't been hoovered properly and I had to clean brown marks off the carpet that they had put there. When I phoned the company to ask for a refnd and to stop the service, the lady on the phone repeatedly tried to convince me to let them come the next week and I categorically refused every time having had so many issues with them already. She was very persistent but I was very clear that I did not want them to return. I was told I wouldn't be charged for that day and we agreed that I was terminating the contract. I did end up paying for it because I never got back the deposit I had paid at the start. Imagine my surprise when I came home the following week to find that they had been into my house, setting off the alarm because they weren't supposed to be there. I had very clearly removed permission and yet they had let themselves in anyway. When the company thought they still had my business they responded to my calls urgently. When I phoned to complain about this I was told it would be investigated and that they would get back to me. Two months later I still haven't heard anything, or got my money refunded or my key back. I have left several messages (the phone is rarely answered even during work hours) but have not received any return calls. I have had to change my locks. This company is very quick and helpful when they are getting money from you but the cleaning was not great and as soon as there was a big problem, the company vanishes off the face of the earth. Find another company.
