The folks at Hertz Electric are awesome! Nate and Levi, the primary techs who have completed numerous electrical issues at both my residence, and my gf's ,are nothing short of professional, experienced and fair! Awhile back, and over time, both the floodlights on my back property went out, as well as the spot light over my garage. After the call, either Nate or Levi, showed promptly, and quickly replaced the units. Also, while in the process of selling my home, and the home inspection company turned up a number of electrical issues, it was Hertz Electric, who arrived promptly when scheduled, and had everything on the list complete, and within half a day. Also, my gf's outdoor ceiling fan hadn't worked in year, and figured it would have to be replaced. Hertz again, had the thing quickly repaired and working like new. In May of 2013 Russaw replaced a 2 ton unit that was 10 years old and that had worked fine until…read morethe compressor quit. They installed the unit and within a month the compressor was out on it as well. Even though it was only a month old and under warranty they still charged me a service call, for which i paid. Then at this time, they said i had a leak in the pipe in the wall and would need to be replaced , so i did so. Paid again. Within 2 months , my unit wasn't working and they came out and said its out of freon, so they did another test (#3) and said my coil was leaking and that i needed a new coil so i went on and paid them to replace the whole blower unit including the coils. Well, you would think, now after 3 full summers , everything but the duct work has been replaced it would be working great. Wrong! They have made atleast 6 more trips to my home and each time puts freon in and tries to charge me and tells me the reason its not working is the ductwork is the wrong size and it needs to be rerun. (because that makes it leak freon) lol! I explain every time that this unit has never worked properly and i shouldn't be charged. Last week it quit cooling again, so i called another company to ck it, surprise, its low on freon again, paid them to fill it. I have met with the owner and offered to pay for a whole new unit, ductwork,everything per their specs, less the $ i have put into this unit. Said he would consider it and after several attempts to get this settled, no such luck. Thinking this would be a neutral way for both of us to resolve the issue and i have an air conditioner that would work for more than 30 days at at time. This last time, they even threatened to turn me over to a collection attorney for a bill that was to ck and refill freon in this same unit. Really! Last summer i purchased a new 4 ton unit for my 1st floor from another HVAC company and works great. The unit is a Trane 20 seer dual compressor unit. Its the bomb! It reached 102 with high humidity one day this summer and it never missed a beat, it froze me out of my home. It would pretty much cool as much as you want. Bad news its very pricey , but as of now, worth every dime!!!! Looks like i will be call this HVAC company to install another one of these upstairs to replace this 2 ton piece of junk!
